Great American Van Lines

We had our two bedrooms move done with Great American Van Lines and it went really smooth. The moving guys were on time and they were really efficient with putting the boxes in the truck. Ours was a move from the south bay to the city, and again, the guys were on time covering up a relatively long drive really fast. The moving into the new apartment was also really efficient. We didn't have anything damaged and the guys even helped put our bed together. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend Great American Van Lines for a hassle free move.

I moved to TN from OH and had the best experience by hiring David and the team at Great American Van Lines. They truly gave me the best possible price and service available in this highly competitive industry. Through this highly stressful process I was re-assured with verbal communication as well as proof in their actions, which I went with the right company. If I were to do it all over again, or recommend a moving company to a friend, it would def be this one. I'm very happy I made the right choice!

When I moved to Tennessee from Chicago, IL last year, I used Great American Van Lines. And I am so glad I used them again to handle my move to California this year. From start to finish they did an excellent job. The estimate was spot on correct. And the guys who did the moving handled every box like it had fine china in it! They were so careful with everything. I highly recommend Great American Van Lines. They are professional, courteous and thoughtful in laying out mats, runners, etc. so as not to mess up the floors.

We used Great American Van Lines for our move 3 days back, and these guys were great!

They showed up on time, hustled all day, and finished in one day. How they managed to get all of our stuff in our truck is a mystery to me, although they claim it was no big deal. How they managed to finish our move in one day is also a mystery to me, but they did it. There were only a few things that came up that were difficult to deal with: a desk and a treadmill, and they handled those situations carefully and thoughtfully. These guys worked great as a team. If we ever need movers again, we will definitely use Great American Van Lines.

This was a great move. The people that came were very quick and also very careful. We had some complications on our end and the move had to be split up but the movers adjusted to the change in plans and did a great job.

Great American Van Lines helped me to move a 2 bedroom worth of stuff. I would like to say that I'm really amazed by their services. Movers were fast, careful and affordable as well. They had a fantastically positive attitude. Not a dent, nick or scrape in any of my furniture or the newly painted hallways in my new place and they are cheaper than some of the other movers. Their customer service was the best. On time responses and I got answers to all of my questions. I have used a lot of moving companies in the past out there, by far Great American Van Lines is my favorite one. Highly recommended!

Our move was complicated by the fact that we were already living out of state, though all of our belongings were still in our home in Georgia. When we were certain the house was going to sell, we wanted to get everything packed and shipped quickly so the buyers could move in. I chose this company primarily because they were able to accommodate my timeline for a move very quickly. They gave me a non-binding rough estimate for the pack and move over the phone, since I did not have time to get someone into the house for a written estimate. The estimate was far below the actual, but I knew it most likely would be, given that we had a lot of heavy books, and plenty of artwork to pack. Elbin, our driver, was excellent: prompt, communicative, cheerful, energetic and very efficient. The guys who did the packing and moving were also very professional. Everything arrived when they said it would, and half of our belongings went into a large storage locker that I had found, with the rest coming to our much smaller apartment. (Again, a complicated process from the packing point of view...and because of the topography of where we live, the driver needed to rent a smaller truck for part of the day.) The foreman didn't even complain about my daughter’s IKEA bed, which he had to take apart and put back together! We have not found anything chipped or broken. It was very nice to have them handle the complicated process of moving and know that I was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend them!

We moved from Paterson, New Jersey to Venice, Florida. The moving staff was professional in both appearance and conduct for both the front end and back end of our move. They were cautious and took extra measures to protect our items. Communication efforts were great all the way through the process. I do not plan to move again anytime soon but will definitely consider GAVL again.

This is the best Moving Company in New Jersey. I can't say enough good things about them. I've used them twice now (in less than a year) and can honestly say moving doesn't bother me anymore. You will be impressed too if you happened to work with them. Freeman in the office is extremely knowledgeable in the industry and can answer all your questions. More importantly, he'll ask you questions because he's the pro. Every detail matters to him. He is confident in his movers and assigns the right crew for the job. He's professional, efficient, and also very kind (which is an added bonus) and you can rest assured your move will go smoothly.

The moving crew was professional and courteous. Ricky and his crew amaze me. They are definitely skilled in the industry and extremely efficient. These guys know how to work as a team. They wrap and care for your furniture just as you want. No banging walls or chipping paint either. They were polite and courteous and very respectful. They do not waste any time. They get in and get the job done and they do it right. You can trust them to move your high-end furniture or no matter what the value. They know what they're doing. And, if your concerned about packaging, boxing, transport, storing-- don't be! These guys show up prepared. A TRUSTWORTHY CREW INDEED. They gave me everything that I was looking from a moving company. Reliability, honesty, dexterity, and well behavior all these good qualities are available in them. For that reason they can complete a move without any occurrence. They immediately executed their service upon arrival. I had to move with my one large bed room furniture. It was nothing for them. They took merely a few hours to pack and load onto the truck. There were just several large boxes and coupe of wardrobe boxes and some wrapped furniture. And at last, the end was pretty nice. I paid them their quoted rate. I am happy that I have seen a day when I rated a moving company five stars. Good job guys.

Excellent! Highly recommend! Professional. Friendly. Informative. Very well trained. Will absolutely use them again. Hard working. It was raining on my move in day and they kept me very well informed and kept in close contact with what the procedures were for the company. My wife was the one that found Great American Van Lines on the web and set up our move.

we called there office and schedule app for their representative to give us flat rate quote so we can set our budget, Nathan was @ our home very professional, he explained us everything about the move and quote us flat price for the move. The next day my wife called and schedule the date. The day of the move 3 man arrived @ 9am (as set) there were very careful not only with the furniture but with the house, we had no damages.

We paid the price that was giving by Nathan, no extras! If and when time to move once more we will us Great American Van Lines again.

I have recently used your company for my move from Cleveland Ohio to Fort Lauderdale FL. I want to recapture my experience for you so you can know how impressed I was with my service. I originally was speaking with Nathan and because of his persistence (and patience) he won my business. He was not overly pushy but answered any and all questions I had. He was patient with me as I did not know my exact move date due to a hiring process I was involved in. He never got short or impatient and that was a very good tactic for me. Once the move date was set, the moving truck came to my villa within the window of time that he said it would. I also got a call from Koba the day before to confirm this. On the day of the move, Koba pulled up in front of my house, hopped out of the truck, walked toward me, shook my hand and introduced himself. All the while he kept good eye contact. This immediately gave me confidence and assurance that I was dealing with a professional company because Koba himself was professional. Koba first sat down with me to explain the way the move was billed and that the quote was for 1400 cubic feet. He could see that I would exceed that and explained to me how that would work. He went over each page of the contract with me explaining it in a way I could understand. He did not rush me even though time is money. It seemed more important to him that I was able to understand what he was explaining to me and that I understood the process. This is huge from a customer service standpoint. Once the paperwork was done, the three men, including Koba starting the loading process, but not before Koba had me come out to the truck to see that there was nothing in the truck already except for some packing supplies. Once again, this speaks of integrity and he was transparent throughout the process. After reading many horror stories about moving companies, I found this to be very refreshing and comforting. It built my confidence in Great American Van Lines. Honesty goes a long way in today's world. One the other end, the truck arrived on time after I got to the apartment. Perfect timing. Koba got out and immediately got to work bringing the boxes into my apartment. He did have a local helper on this end but in all my life, I have never seen anyone work as hard as him. He is very focused, diligent, and professional. He is a good organizer, administrator, implementer, and communicator and is wise beyond his years. The way he deals with and interacts with people is incredible. Koba is, in my opinion, one of the most valuable assets in your company.

Had a trouble-free moving experience with Great American Van Lines. I highly recommend these movers. The guys were friendly, went out of their way to help us pack a ton of stuff (mostly because we weren't ready for them), took shelves off the walls, you get the picture. When my husband started to pack dishes one of the guys stopped him and said something to the effect of "I got you" and got everything packed up probably twice as fast as we could have done it and delivered our belongings intact on time at our new home. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a more seamless moving experience. Thanks, guys.

We found Great American Van Lines via a relative. After a disaster with another company who wanted to overcharge at pickup, we needed a mover on short notice. Great American Van Lines came through. Great service on short notice. The delivery drivers called the day before, then the next day to give us a time, then arrived within 30 minutes of that time. They unload was fast, with everything placed as we wished. They removed all packing and was on their way. Extremely courteous, and efficient.

I’am here to thank these guys and to recommend them for their good work and effort. Great American Van Lines helped me when I was moving from PA to GA for my new job placement in a recruitment firm. We were provided with excellent moving team. The guys were pretty fast and devoted workers and managed to finish the moving without any problems. We paid a price that was affordable and the company delivered all the things to my new rented apartment without any damage or trouble. We set a delivery date and time and they were spot on, it never hindered my work for even a minute.

Am sure everyone is nervous before selecting there moving company and so was I but am so relieved that my experience was such a success that am more than happy writing this review to show my gratitude to all the employees at Great American Van Lines rather than writing a bad review like many that I read online. I did my research very well and I felt very comfortable with what I found, and actually working with warn and listing voice on the other side of the phone was calming.



The move went very well, final price was within my budget, my items arrived on time and the movers were amazing especially Jose the head foreman that took care of every request that I had.

I was totally blown away by the service at Great American Van Lines. They were simply amazing with moving me and my family. They were punctual and had all the packing materials needed. They worked carefully yet quickly and were very polite. The packers even wore gloves when packing the dishes and crystals. Talk about white glove service. They came to deliver on the set day and set up all the furniture and unpacked the boxes. Magnificent work from start to finish and not a scratch on one thing. The price was more than fair too.

These Guys were marvelous. They worked straight through a long day with only ten minutes break for refreshments. Actually I can’t compliment enough the crews who helped us move. I am grateful for their support. They were quite skilled to carry our stuff through a narrow and curved staircase. And I had no problem with the rate. It was absolutely reasonable. No hidden cost. We had some additional items at the last moment of move day. Their supervisor was extremely nice person. All their employees took the move very personally. After making 19 moves over the past 44 years, I can attest that Great American Van Lines ranks as one of the best movers in the business. My experience started with the highly professional and personable service form David, the sales executive. After a misunderstanding in how I wanted to store and ship my goods, Nathan took swift action to make the necessary changes to accommodate my desires. He also hand-selected his top team to complete the packing and loading of my household goods. We had a lot of antique furniture and other high-value items that required special packing. Jason and his crew did an exceptional job of going beyond my expectations to ensure that my valuable goods received the very best protection that the industry could provide. To attest to the quality of work they did, the agent at delivery said that this was the best packed shipment that he had seen in his career. As move coordinator, Brain did an outstanding job of responding to my unique request as well as helping to solve billing-related and other issues. He was always very courteous and timely in making sure that I was satisfied. Above all, the entire team at Great American Van Lines in Jersey City New Jersey made me feel like a valued customer.

Likewise, the crew who in Washington did an outstanding job of unloading my goods. They were very proficient and handle my goods with tender loving care. They also went out of their way to protect my newly remodeled home.
