Overall

I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a consumer. It began at the Mandarin location when I was dropping off clothes. I was very pregnant. No one greeted me or asked me if I needed help. I made multiple trips to and from my car with clothes and no employee spoke to me. I should have known then... Soon after, my husband and I moved away. While visiting family for the holidays, I left my nursing newborn to see if I'd sold anything. That's when I found out the manager and my clothes had moved to the Merrill Rd location. The facial expressions and tone of the employees at the Mandarin store warned me it was not going to be easy to get my money from this person. Upon calling, I was told I'd have to pay a $10 fee to have a $28 check mailed to me. I decided I'd wait until I was back in Jacksonville again and the baby was a little older and easier to leave. As soon as I arrived in town for another family visit, I found childcare and made the trek across town to the Merrill store. There, I was told I was just past the 6 month mark and I could not have my money. I tried to speak with the manager but she would not come out and talk to me or return my calls. I explained my situation to the employee - who for all I know really was the manager (brand new baby, moving out of state, not being told my clothes were being moved to a different and very inconvenient location, and certainly not being reminded about the 6th month cutoff!) I feel silly even taking the time to write this. The baby is napping and I should be too - she's got another tooth coming in. But I feel people should be wary of this person. I can't imagine she'll stay in business long with these kinds of ethics. So I wouldn't take my clothes there, if I were you. It's unfortunate that she doesn't realize her biggest enemy is herself (both in her professional and personal life, I'm sure.) It's okay that I don't get my money. People like her lead to their own demise. That's payment enough in my mind.

The Round Robin Store on San Jose Blvd, DONT GO THERE!.

Nancy is a rude person who never gets to others personal needs, she is not very sociable and she does not have the communication skills to be a retail manager.

I brought 2 very nice ball gowns, a prom dress and a matching pair of heels to Round Robin and wound up pulling everything from the floor about 20 days later because I found out I was moving across the country. When I went to pull my items I could not find my heels. I explained to the cashier what they looked like, after searching the entire store for them, she told me she remembers selling them and when she sold them they didn't link to my account. The cashier then explained to me how to go about collecting my money and how to get a hold of Nancy, the manager. She provided me with all of the information on the item and the price they were sold for. My heels were sold for $20, ever though I was told they would be put out for $25.

I called Round Robin to get a hold of Nancy for two weeks. Every time I actually got her on the phone and explained to her who I was and why I was calling, conveniently I was disconnected, put on hold, or told "I have a customer problem, I will give you a call back" Needless to say, I was never called back. I finally went up to the store and spoke with Nancy in person.

She then told me that Round Robin sold my heels for $10, they decided to put them on clearance, which in the contract states they can not do that until 30 days have pasted and the items have not been reentered by the customer, and after 60 the items are then donated to the store.. Nancy then told me that she could give me $4 of the $10, BUT they charge $5 for the service, so I technically owe them $1. I owe them for selling MY shoes for less than half of the price I was told. Which is total BS because the cashier pulled it up in the system to told me SHE sold them, and remembers selling them for $20 and that I would be getting $10 back for them. These were $85 heels that were worn once.. Worth WAY more than $25..

Round Robin Consignment is a rip off, and the Manager / Store owner, Nancy, is a liar, a cheap, and a thief.

Watch out for this place. They...

Watch out for this place. They will gladly take your dropoffs, but they keep what they want & you won't make any $$. Even if you make an appt., they can steal from you by saying they donated your items. I dropped off 4 pairs of new shoes - clogs, barely a year old. Should have at least got $10 a pair after their 60% profit, but got $8 for all 4 pairs. Rip-off, dishonest owner & employees. The owner was walking thru the store bragging about the clothes she was wearing as being "donated." Beware!

Great store

This store is my favorite store as it is the closest store to me also it is the cleanest and has the most friendly associates working there. The prices are or can not be touched by any other shop that I know about.
