        History - cdi is a second generation foodservice distributor that serves as a premier supplier to the Quick Service Restaurant industry. Our 1st generation predecessor IDI ( Interstate Distributors, Inc ) was founded in 1972 by Tom Willingham. IDI was a very successful chain distributor that grew to be one of the largest in the U.S. by the early 1990's. At that time Tom made the decision to sell IDI to some private investors. In late 1999 he received calls from past customers that asked him to open up shop again to offer the same level of exceptional service for which IDI had been known. So in early 2000 cdi was born and has picked up right where IDI left off. In fact, cdi has taken service levels to new highs by continually improving processes and by taking advantage of new technology. In the 7 years since we started cdi, we have grown to serve 6 restaurant chains throughout the Southeastern U.S.

        Overall

        The truck drivers here get better treatment than anyone. The start off pay is basic and the warehouse equipment isn't up to par.
        Beware of this god awful place!

        Overall

        Terrible job for truck drivers. They lie and take almost your entire last check when you quit. High turnover rate. Lying managers and office people. RUN
