        Chip is THE best. He fixes my stuff right away, never sells me things I don't need, and even tells me war stories from his glory days in the hair metal 80's. People come to his shop just to hang out, and he sells strings for a buck less than the big shops.

        as far as it goes, i'm one of those people who hates big chain stores no matter what i'm buying. I went to chip's as the first small store i could find for a string replacement and when i got in there i just fell in love with a guitar. not only was it a nice guitar, but i got to spend face to face time with the owner, they back their products and the price was right. what else can you ask for? i absolutely love the guitar that they sold me and think that if you are looking for a guitar shop with a local feel that cares for it's customers like a proper small business should, then this is the place for you.
