As the name clinic implies, this is a great place for vaccinations, prescriptions, and minor injuries. I take two dogs there and regularly receive a pleasant attitude, complete physical examine, and no issue with getting medications my animals need. The vet gives me time to explain my concerns without rushing and is reasonably priced ($50/examine, $20/vax).
For an emergency or severe illness, I would go to an animal hospital. It is definitely the responsibility of the vet to tell an owner when their facility is not equipped to handle a specific issue, but it is also an owner's responsibility to research, ask questions, and become educated on their animals and their conditions.
Not happy
took my kitty there and was told he had crystals, was going back and forth with them for 10 days, they told me he had to eat this hills science diet, i called them an told them my cat drank a lot of water an didnlt use the litter box, the receptionest told me they were too busy to see him, an if he needed a procedure done they were too booked. an i should take him to the hospital, some customer service, well you would think they would cancel another apt for a routine visit , well i found another vet who told me to come right in an immideditly did surgery on him, but he was so weak he only lived another 5 days, he should have had this done the first time i brought him there, an he was only 2 1/2 yrs old., my new vet is very caring,
The doctors (Dr. Feldman & Dr. Jehn) play games with you at this place. I brought my dog in with a fracture and a serious infection which was created by the cast on his right front arm on top of a broken leg. They removed the cast and had no idea what to do. Dr. Jehn's exact words were "I don't even know what to do with this". So she suggests that we should amputate the leg (remove it entirely) so we said ok. We left and went to see my sisters doctor for a 2nd opinion. Who wouldn't do this? We are now trying to save her leg by treating the infection first and then the fracture. The doctor we are seeing now has high hopes. We have a better doctor now, someone who actually cares for the animals they treat. Jackson Clinic has no idea what they're doing and yet they charged me for examining my dogs leg when they actually did nothing. They didn't even bandage it. They were supposed to do the amputation surgery but called me and cancelled it because I went to another doctor for a 2nd opinion. Unbelievable! This place should close its doors to animals!
