        I did not get the help promised me, the attorney ended up just taking my money. And answering a few legal questions. Then gave me some numbers to some attorney friends, that she said would be happy to take my case. However when I called them they were very discouraging

        And only interested in discussing money and not the details of my case...

        DO NOT WORK WITH M.A.I. THEY LEFT THEIR OFFICES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. THEY WILL NOT RETURN CALLS. I HIRED FAZIA DEAN, THEN CHRIS WORDEN (WHO IS NOW IN ANDRE CARSON'S STAFF). I HAVE CALLED, TEXTED, AND EMAILED MANY, MANY TIMES AND CANNOT GET ANY REPLY. THAT IS $1000. SPENT AND WHY IS NO ONE ABLE TO HELP ME?

        Don't even think about going here. The place is soooo unprofessional they don't return you calls. If you want the slightest chance to win either borrow the money and do it right.. These guys have nooo idea what they are doing...

        don't go here, they don't do anything but lie and steal your money. I tried for 4 months to get a hold of the so called lawyer they assigned me and couldn't. then when i got another lawyer and tried to get my retainer refunded, they kept avoiding me until i threatened to sue, then they said they would have a check for me by the end of the week which turned into 3 weeks and was for half of what it was supposed to have been.

        I used to work at MAI Legal Services as a volunteer paralegal, back when they were just getting started. I can only state that at that time, the people who worked at MAI Legal were of the utmost ethical and legal standards. The founder, Shariq Sidiqqui, is a very generous, warm, and fine human being. From past experience, 99.9% of these types of fee disputes arise from a lack of communication and false expectations from clients. The legal field is under severe attack from right-wing business interests and it is *ONLY* by clinics such as MAI Legal Services that every-day working people have a chance in the system. I was proud to have worked at MAI, albeit for a very short period as I was a volunteer and was not able to stay for very long. -Robert Shisler
