MDwise is a nonprofit, managed care organization founded in 1994 by the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County and Clarian Health Partners. The organization offers various health care programs, including Hoosier Healthwise, Care Select and the Healthy Indiana Plan. It provides health care services through collaboration with doctors, specialists, pharmacists and hospitals. MDwise assists its operating board in managing the client s business, property, and strategic and policy affairs. The organization has a variety of programs to meet the special medical and social needs of the Medicaid population. It offers services to more than 280,000 members in partnership with over 1,400 primary medical providers. MDwise provides a variety of programs for teenagers and pregnant women and their newborns. The organization additionally provides asthma and diabetes disease management programs.
