Spaghetti Bender's

They have a new menu and I'm assuming a new cook. Wasn't so good a couple of years ago, but the food is awesome now! Seafood manicottis are bomb. Nice date night with the hubby thats not overpriced.

Just had a very disappointing experience at Spaghetti Benders. I have gone to this restaurant numerous times in the past, but this was my LAST VISIT. I have never been impressed with their food, but used to be able to overlook the dark dingy atmosphere and extremely slow service when my kids wanted to go there for spaghetti. Tonight, however, I realized how cheap the owner is! We had ordered their nightly special of a spaghettini with mushrooms which included a salad and bread for $5.99...a great price, right? WRONG! I had asked if I could have their creamy marinara sauce which in their menu states to add $1.00. When our bill came, I was astounded. Since I had changed the sauce on the special, they cancelled the special and upcharged me for each item. I expected the sauce upcharge, but not the upcharge for the mushrooms (which were supposed to be on the special anyway) and for the salad (also supposedly included with the special). We were there with our four small children who each got a $2.00-$3.00 kids meal, 4 of us drank water, and our bill came to over $54.00! I was astounded. When I questioned the prices, the waitress just stated that there is a 20% gratuity of parties of 6 or more. We are a family of 6, but our gratuity at the restaurants in Disney World isn't even quite at 20%. My husband and I enjoy going out to eat and usually do spend over $50 when we take out our family, and we always tip well, but I certainly wasn't expecting to pay that for our $2, $3, and $6 meals in a dumpy, sub-standard restaurant! The final straw was when the manager/owner, Tony, came out to try to explain all the hidden upcharges, he was DRUNK and dressed like a SLOB. He would not adjust our bill and stated he has never had a complaint about the upcharges before (yet I've seen multiple compaints on other websites). We vowed to never return. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!! Not worthy of our patronage.

my wife and i went here for the 1st time and got very ill.. food was burnt,service sucked and price was way out thear we spent $40.00 to puke all night we were gona call a lawer but didnt think the owner would make good on any settelment...ods are that they would just offer a free meal and we would be sick again...thanks but no thanks!!!
