Grubs Sports Bar

I recently went out to eat at Grub's with a large group (about 10). We arrived at 8:00pm. While service to take our orders was prompt, one member of our group was left waiting for his food a half hour after everyone else received their food. He, like 5 others at the table, had just ordered a burger and fries. Our waiter did not return after serving the other 9 people at the table until it was time to drop of the check. I meanwhile, had to grab another waiter walking by to point out that one member of our party never got his food. Meanwhile, in the about 15 minutes into our meal a "security" staff member walks up to our table and tells us we all have to pay a cover to stay because a big boxing match was going to be starting. We protested that we had already been there well in advance of the match, and noted that there was no mention of this before we ordered or when we walked in. Didn't matter we all still needed to pay an extra $3 or $4 depending on gender. I think it is outrageous to tell people in the middle of their meal that they need to pay extra to stay and finish it. I would understand if people were taking an unreasonably long period of time to finish the meal but some of the members of our group had not even received their meal yet so this clearly was not the case. All in all, the service was terrible and we all felt robbed by a hidden "boxing match" cover!
