General Info: Founded in 1911, the Legal Aid Bureau is a private, nonprofit law firm that provides a range of civil legal services to low-income groups in Maryland. It is an independent organization that receives funding from private sources and the federal, state and local governments. The organization serves children, migrant farm workers, people with disabilities, and the residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
