Four Paws Pet Salon

I would just like to tell my friends on here to not take their dog to Four Paws Grooming in Teays Valley and Nitro. My puppy is 4 months old, and he has never had fleas, I go to pick him up and he is INFESTED with them. I have had to give him 3 baths to try and drown the fleas, and have given him medicine. The poor thing is itching like crazy. But, to top it off he didn't even get groomed! I took him to his appointment at 10am and they said it would take around 2 hours. Around 1:30 I called to see where they were at on him, and she went around my question and said we have 16 dogs and a cat to get done. I repeated myself and asked if they had started on him and she hesitated and said yes, so then I asked how much longer, she presided to tell me it would take about an hour. My mom and I were not very happy about him already being there that long so we left and went to nitro where he was to wait on him. We get in there and they LIED about them starting on him! He was still sitting in a cage! It had been 4 hours and they still hadn't started on him and they wanted to keep him for two more to finish! I said absolutely not. They also tried charging me $26 for a wash, which I did not pay for because that was more than half of what the whole thing was going to cost! I am so disappointed in their service, and I don't want anyone going there especially if they have a flea problem. PLEASE think twice before you leave your animal in someone else's hands.

I so much prefer going to Gail at Four Paws in Winfield, but was in a pickle and had to go to the one across from Putnam Co. Bank. Let em tell you that I was pretty disgusted to bring my dog home covered in fleas. Especially since she's never had fleas in her life (she's 6 1/2). I've had to double dose her with Frontline (which is NOT safe). Very disgusted.
