Maplewood Intermediate School helps to develop social, physical, emotional and intellectual needs of students in grades three through five. The school employs classroom teachers, psychologists, nurses, technology assistants, social workers, and occupational and physical therapists. It offers classes in art, music and physical education. Maplewood Intermediate School s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and language arts. The school, in addition, provides the English as a Second Language program. Its parent-teacher association sponsors family bingo nights, laser light shows, book fairs, field days and parent-teacher meetings. Maplewood Intermediate School is a part of the South Huntington School District. The school is located in Huntington Station, N.Y.
