My relationship with the old Ruby Palace and the New Ruby palace began in 1973 through April 4th 2014' yesterday.
I have eaten there as a single guest, as a couple, and with Family Members of over 15 guests
At no time, either as an individual guest, or as a member of a large arty, have any of us ever een disappointed.
I have witnessed 3 total remodels and now new ownership by a former employee manager.
The new owner has finally been able to initiate the changes he has always advocated including physical changes inside and outside the restaurant, and dramatic changes in the menus, except of course to the Hot & Sour soup, which has always been their signature offering, and really outstanding.
I have eaten Hot & Sour soup throughout the United States, from Chinatown in New York City to Chinatown in San Francisco, and their version and composition suites my taste the best.
They have a completely revised and expanded menu presented in a meal photographed. Designed binder. You can see exactly what each offering looks and consists of.
A point of personal to me has always been the cleanliness of the public bathrooms and kitchen.
Especially in Chinese Restaurants, primarily because the vast majority are individually owned, and as such they reflect the individual's personal standards of hygiene which may not be the same as mine or the health department.
I believe the first step to take when visiting any restaurant is to wash your hands and observe the surroundings.
My attitude is, if the bathrooms are substandard, what must the kitchen look like?
The New Ruby Restaurant has an Open Kitchen and invites a tour.
Either I, my Family Members, or MyFriends, have experienced almost all offerings on the Menu, and none of us have been disappointed.
To the contrary, it has all, always been extraordinary.
As for the service and personal attention, they make you feel you are their only guest, or at least their most important one.
Obviously, I highly recommend this restaurant and all it provides, including a personal Happy Experience.

Provided by SuperpagesHighly recommend the Ruby Palace. We have been fans of the restaurant for more than thirty years and were sad when it closed for a while. But the reconstituted Ruby P. is even better than the old. The food is superior. Obviously the chef is marvelous.
