Founded in 1935, the Huntingdon County Library is a part of Huntingdon County in Pennsylvania. The library offers access to more than 50,000 books. It manages the Friends of the Huntindon County Library. The Huntingdon County Library subscribes to over 80 magazines and nearly five local, regional and national newspapers. It manages the Mount Union Branch Library and the Lower Huntingdon County Branch Library. The Huntingdon County Library supports summer reading programs. Huntingdon County manages the Huntingdon Area School District, which serves nearly 1,200 students in elementary, middle and high schools. The county operates a museum and nuclear power plant.
