If you want the possibility of your car being completely ruined by the service department of Toyota of North Charlotte, then by all means please go there. I took my 2007 Toyota Prius in to get serviced, and after two hours of waiting, the service manager asked to speak to me privately.

He informed me that the vehicle had caught on fire on the test drive and it seems to be totaled. He was right! They brought my vehicle back by a tow truck and the front of the car was completely ruined. Though they were very apologetic and placed me in a rental car immediately, they have been terrible to work with since.

Their insurance company would pay me cash for the loss, but with this cash, there was no way to buy the same car they had ruined. Toyota of North Charlotte even had a used Toyota Prius at their location that they would not give me because "it was a better car." So you mean to tell me that you ruin my car and will not take responsibility for it. The car was priced only a couple of thousand dollars more than what the insurance company gave us. Give me a break. This place is so intent on making the most money it possibly can, that they could care less about the customer. They have lost thousands of dollars of business with me, as I would have gladly purchased another Toyota from them if they had simply done the right thing, the moral thing.

So, now we have to buy a car and spend money out of our pockets for a vehicle because of the dealership's mishandling of the situation. Never again Toyota of North Charlotte. Greed comes back to bit you in the long run.
