friendly and attentive reception staff. All areas we could see were spotlessly clean. Doctor Tinkham was thorough, knowledgable and very caring of our animals. Will have our animals seen here again.

Greedy, arrogant

As far as vets go we have had no complaints in the 10 years we have taken our many pets there but....Asked for a copy of our dogs rabies certificate and was charged $11.50. We were told it was because we had the rabies shot done by someone other than them. So in other words we were being punished for having the shot done elsewhere. Our town provides a rabies/registration clinic where the local vet sets up shop at the firestation and provides shots for a reduced price. We had the shot done there then took the certificate to Hudson Animal Hospital to be included in our dogs records. When my wife complained about the cost of a copy they said they would have the office manager call her the following week. Instead of the office manager calling it was the owner. He was arrogant and stated the charge was for them to have to send away for the certificate to make a copy of, as I noted prior we had the shot done and brought the certificate personnally to the office, showing they are not very honest. We were then told by the owner that if we didn't like it to take our 3 pets elsewhere. We are doing exactly that. There was another incident when they tried to charge us for an office visit for a pet that was already on their premises and needed an additional shot. They tried to charge for the shot(understandable) and an office visit (the pet was already in there office).

Sometimes not very discerning.

My cat is now 17 years old and I've brought him here for yearly checkups ever since I got him. The vets here have treated him for cat fight wounds, have inoculated him and have provided good advice. It was a surprise when, just four years ago, I brought him in and the doctor announced that he was totally blind! He had had a checkup just six months before. I would have done anything to preserve my cat's sight if I had known in advance that it was in jeopardy. Now, he's the object of pity and remorse. I'm torn between providing continuing care for him in his increasingly difficult old age and euthanasia. I will miss his friendly presence around the house.

Can count on them

They showed us how to groom and trim our cat's nails and taught us about different manerisims that he might pick up from us.
