Eastern Orthodontics of Howell

I called this morning to get my daughter's 1/2" bottom, metal, permanent retainer glued back on after one side came unglued. The office manager got ugly with me on the phone and said that we would be charged $271.00 for it to be glued back on because "that is what we charge all our patients and you are not a patient". I said that my daughter is from out of state and in college and we can't afford it, and she told me to stop yelling. I wasn't yelling or raising my voice, but I was upset and pleading with her to help my daughter this one time as a courtesy because of our financial crisis. She refused to be caring and understanding and stood by their policy. I told her that they did not care about the patient, just the money. She disagreed, but obviously that is not true. We are in-network with MetLife Dental, so they could have accepted our insurance, also. (Two other dentists in the area fixed my son's permanent retainer for free, and he was not their patient.) SO, AT ALL COSTS, DO NOT GO TO THIS ORTHODONTIST BUSINESS. They claim to be friendly and caring, and that is a total LIE! In the end, I did yell and her and told her that I wasn't yelling when she said I was, "BUT NOW I AM YELLING!" So, they lie, don't care, and just want your money. Good luck if you're already a patient. I hung up the phone and will continue my negative reviews online so other people don't suffer and wind up crying like I did!
