My name is Phil. I was having some engine issues with my Ford truck that I have had for a number of years. It was obvious that I was going to have to get some serious work done on it. My regular mechanic said he does not even repair these kinds of issues and that I needed to go to an elevated expert. I was referred to Texon Motor Center. It wasn't cheap, but it sounded fair. They did a great job and pretty quickly. But most importantly, my Ford is drive-able again. I need this truck and this kept me going, hopefully for years into the foreseeable future.

I called Texon Motor Center, told them the year make and model of my car over the phone and they were able to give me a reasonable price quote over the phone. I brought my car to them and they looked at it to confirm the price. They fixed my car in a fair amount of time. I recommend.

My name is Kel, and my car was flooded out last year. I put off getting it fixed or just totaling it. I decided to see if these guys could help. They gave me a price quote on a new engine and told me how long it would take to repair it. I said to go ahead and do it. They finished the job within the time frame presented and they got my car running again. I still have to deal with having a flood title, but that's ok. My car runs.

only good things to say about these folks. this is my second truck they've installed a new engine in. purrs like a kitten.

Here's a suggestion for you... If you are thinking about putting a newer engine or tranny in your vehicle, check with these guys first. They do a great job and did a great price for me. I was going to install it myself. But why would I when they did it professionally and at such a great price.

I recently bought a classic car that I wanted to rebuild. I started to work on it myself. But then decided to price the job with these guys. They ended up installing a new engine for me at a price that I couldn't say no to. Thank you, Gentelmen.

This place is terrible about communication. They tell you they will call and let you know about a part, about when done, about any other problems, anything and NEVER do. My fiance was promised several times a phone call with answers to his questions as well as that his truck would be ready in a week to ten days. Two weeks later and we still don't have it. This is a 50 mile drive and they close at 6:00. Special arrangements need to be made to get there its not ready yet. Its been promised several times and when we call to check - its more excuses. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB when we finally get the truck back. They had just better have done a good job - they have certainly had it long enough! Stay away unless you have time to kill and don't need your vehicle.

I had my 2000 Ford Excursion towed to Tex-on on August 30, 2012 to have my (long block) V10 engine rebuilt. When it was finished I was excited to have my truck working properly again! Prior to selecting Tex-on for the project I requested a "nickel tour" of their facilities and machinery. I was impressed with their technical knowledge of engines. They also offered to correct and improve on the flawed Ford modular engine design with the blown-out spark plugs with aftermarket spark plug inserts. I had requested that my engine block be painted Ford Blue when it was finished but noticed that there was a lot of over-spray of Blue paint which led me to believe it was painted after the reman'ed heads were installed. I thought the engine block would be painted after all of the block work was completed but prior to the heads being installed...but I guess not. Anyway, they are the professionals and that's they way it was completed. I was originally told that the entire process of rebuilding the engine would be a total of 5 days however it really took 2 weeks. I kind of figured it would take 2 weeks and it did. The engine is now only 2 weeks old rebuilt and everything appears to be working properly with no oil leaks to this point....so as of this writing I am happy and would definitely recommend and use them again. They originally gave me a total of $4,300 that was printed on the invoice when I dropped it off and that is what it was when I picked it up. They didn't call me with any extras costs requirements so I was happy about that. Anyone can contact me at lee@leewinters.com to personally confirm the above information. Also, I don't normally leave reviews for businesses, however, I feel that this was such a big job for the 415cu.in. motor and they did it without any problems that I feel compelled to express my appreciation publicly.

I purchased a 2002 Toyota Rav4 around the end of 2011 as a cash car from a family off Cragslist. After paying and following the advice of a car repair guru, "with over 30 years of experience," I purchased the vehicle. Unfortunately the vehicle turned out to be a TOTAL LEMON. I mean TOTAL LEMON. Around two months after purchase I needed a new engine. OHCH!! After being talked into NOT driving the car off a cliff from family and friends, I researched the city of Houston for the best warranty, the best price and the best customer service in engine repair. I only found one place, Tex-On Motor Center. Dave and Clay provided a fair price and by far the best customer service I have ever received in the automotive industry. People, if you need engine repair I highly recommend you talk to Dave and Clay first.

Being a single parent, and being on a very limited income, I was very upset when I started having car problems. I was told that I needed a new motor. I called Tex-on and was pleasantly surprised. Not knowing that much about cars, Clay spent time explaining fully what was wrong with my car. Due to the fact that regular maintenance was not done, he stressed to me the importance of it. I was impressed by the time he spent explaining the situation. He did the repairs, in a timely manner, at a price that I was happy with. The car runs great and I will recommend Tex-on to my family and friends.

I am very satisfied with the replacement engine that Clay at Texon Motor Center installed in my Toyota. The dealer wanted over $5000.00 to replace my engine. Clay saved me money and restored my faith in independent repairs shops. I thought I was going to have problems at first because my engine light came on. I called Clay, he made me an appointment and fixed the problem. I have recommended him ever since that day.
