My boss told me of a guy named...

My boss told me of a guy named Ken Westbrook and told me to check him out before purchasing a car from another dealership. So I called him and from that start he said was... " I'll take care of you" And he did! Not only was he deal was cheaper than another Toyota dealership and also saved us money on Car Insurance (through farmers Insurance) We were original told 160 dollars a month (through another agency) and we got a deal through him for 134 a month. Nice doing business with you!

I purchased a 2012 Toyota Avalon Limited at Don McGill Toyota of Houston (I-10/Kirkwood exit) from Ken Westbrook. This car is awesome. I have driven it to San Antonio, Kema and around town and it is everything I was looking for. Do not do business with these ...

Do not do business with these guys. They charge $199 for some sort of anti-theft protection plate. This fee is not up for debate, and was not disclosed during the price negotiation. You cannot decline it, and I was too tired to argue. The salesman admits it is just a way for Don McGill to make some extra money. Seriously? They stole my shift knob, and floor mats out of my used Lexus I was buying. This was done when they were. MAKING IT READY. I guess that's code for washing and stealing anything they could sell on ebay. They refused to replace the stolen items. This dealership is shady. Seriously.... Do your deal somewhere else. Consider yourself warned!



Update: After speaking with the dealership manager about the stolen shift knob and factory mats, she admits that Don McGill has problems with their make ready team stealing shift knobs, etc.... BUT, she wasn't going to do anything about it. Can you believe that? What a load of crap! Do yourself a favor, and go to another dealership. TRUST ME!!!!

I had a really poor experience for a simple Oil change at Don Mcgill .

I went to Service Advisor Ma*k .

I asked how much a Mobile 1 Oil change and he quoted 75 dollars ; I told him that I usually pay between 55-60 every time I get a change . He then went on Phone with Service Department to check the price . He came back and agreed to do it at 58 dollars . You expect a service Adviser to know the Price

After waiting for Over 1 Hour ; I was called at the Cashier Counter and they did not provide me anything for the multipoint inspection that comes with Oil change . I talked to the Service adviser again and he said there was nothing to report in the Inspection so they did not provide anything .

This was surely wrong as they did NOT even point out that the Tread depth on one of my rear tires was close to zero .

When I went out to my vehicle and opened the hood to check for fluid levels ; None of my fluids had been topped off ; the Power steering fluid was clearly low . I had to go back in and report that . They took my car in again and added the Fluids .

The attitude of the service Person was as if he did not care at all. I am not Going back there anymore for sure .

A BIG WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!

I went to the part counter to order parts for my 4runnner. I give the parts person (I was told his name was Keith) year, make, model, engine size, and tranny type. (1988 Toyota 4runner v6 3.0 and automatic) I was looking for a EFI relay, a fuel line, and a coolant hose. Keith first asked me for a part number. I repeated what he said to me what he said a few month earlier which was (We don't give out part numbers) The only number I had was the relay because I had a picture of it in my phone. Keith turns the monitor and said is that it. He was showing me a picture from a 4 cylinder 4runner. I looked at the diagram and told him it's a V6, you are showing me a 4 cylinder. He tells me that it all that comes up under that year 4runner. I said are serious Toyota made thousand of V6 model and you can only find 4 cylinders. I also pointed out that he had vacuum diagram up and not fuel system diagram. He tells me that it does not matter if a line is for vacuum or fuel. At that point I knew I was dealing with someone who sucks at his job. I am an engineer and a car enthusiast, Telling someone that there is no difference between to 2 is a very stupid statement. I went to Sterling McCall Toyota the next day and the place was so busy, the part counter had 8 part person and customer everywhere. I got to the counter and told the clerk what I was looking for. After giving the clerk the necessary information the clerk pulled up the correct diagram up in less than 30 seconds and got the right part. I was amaze. I got the part I needed and out in under 10 minutes. I guest looking at it there one sales person at Don McGill and 8 at Sterling McCall and the follow tell you that the public knows where to get parts. The competency level of the salesperson speak loud and clear. I will near go back to Don McGill. IT JUST A WASTE OF TIME.

They try to force unnecessary options on you

We wanted to by an "ad" new car there, and told them we didn't want all the unnecessary extras. They "agreed". Then when they brought out the paperwork to sign, there was about $1500 more added to the "agreed on" amount. When we saw that we got up and walked it.
