Briarwood School is an independent nonprofit coeducational day school, and is located in Houston. It operates lower, middle and upper schools. Its special school offers classes for students of ages 5 to 21 and has more than 50 students. Briarwood School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Its curriculum includes computer, English, arts, foreign languages, mathematics, science, social studies, health and physical education. It offers various options for after school involvement, such as athletics, student council and drama. Its sports activities include volleyball, soccer, cross country, tennis, golf, track and field and basketball. Its summer camp offers fun, self-confidence and skill development classes for development of students. The school s parent involvement offers a way for parents to support teachers in their daily efforts to meet the needs of students.
