BRAIDS BY ANAN

I have been to the shop around 4times, and I have left with astounding hair styles everything (except once).
The first time I went, I had recently did the big chop and left myself with about 1/2 an inch to deal with. Then I just got tired of the same look and seemed a shop that had reasonable prices and good quality, without leaving me with patches. That day I left the shop with freestyle braids, multicolored, only spending $150, and about 4hours (due to gripping issues).
The second time I went to the shop, I decided to get a see in for prom (you know, to spice it up). My hair came out weird, spending about $275 buying hair there (this price includes $85 for the actual sew in job, roughly $190 on wet and wavy 18"-22"). The problem was you could see my braids in the front of my head, and it looked like I was wearing two wigs. So the next day I came back (you have 3days to get it fixed) and my hair was fixed on the spot, and I walked out looking magnificent.
The third time, I went I received another sew in and only spent $95 since I had the hair already, and it came out great.
The fourth and most recent occasion, I received boxbraids freestyle for the price of $175, and I love it!!!!! The original price for the style I wanted was $150, but since I'm natural the better style (which they explained to me) would be the boxbraids.
Each time I go to the shop, you can see the professionalism (excuse my poor grammar) growing and the atmosphere becoming more costumer friendly, I love this shop and would strongly recommend to you.
P.S. they know their stuff, so if your like me and don't really know the ins-and-outs of weaves/braids then they'll explain it to you

Prices are by length for senegalese twists or box braids. So bring extra money in case you want extra long. Lol. But my braids are pretty, not heavy or too tight.

I'm a happy customer. I have gotten so many compliments with my twists and I'm loving it. This is a good shop and beauty supply.

Best crochet braids. It's been 4 weeks and still looks fabulous. This will be my protective hairstyle for a while and I will be going back to Braids By Anan. I will 5 star this shop for few reasons. First of all, I am very satisfied with the outcome of my hair. I feel good wearing it and the compliments keep coming. They have their beauty supply section with a lot of hair selection to choose from. There was no wait and my hair was done in a reasonable amount of time (two and half hours). They were nice, I will go back and recommend them to my friends and family.

I am a satisfied customer. They made it very easy for me and my 8 years old daughter to get our braids done at the same time. We did not have to wait, given that we did not have prior appointments and just walked in. Braids were not too tight for me nor my daughter who did not shed any tears for the first time while getting her braids. I will go here again and recommend it too. Thanks Nneoma and Mimi!.

They do a terrible job bad attitude

The moment I got home I noticed braids at the top that had my real hair coming out. It got left out during braiding. The stylist put moose and spritz on my hair so I didnt notice this before I left! The stylist clearly wasn't paying attention. She was on the phone the entire time. I don't have extremely short hair so I was confused two weeks later when braids begin to just fall out. They are all over the house. I keep my hair in a mid ponytail because I'm afraid a braid may fall out in public! I am a stay a home mom and this place is far from me. My mom took off work to watch my baby so I could get my hair done. I can't just come back so easily for them to fix or try to fix things. My husband is always like babe I found another braid...on the floor! smh. I also wittnessd another stylist butcher a clients head. The client came on to get her sew in taken out and get a new one. well, the stylist took her sew in out and without combing or detangling she washed her hair. It's was so matted after that. The stylist used a parting comb and grease to detangle the back while the client worked on the front with a big tooth comb. At one point I saw the stylist pick up a piece of hair that was party braided and still had thread in it. This client lost alot of hair that day. It was all over the floor! The stylist told her it because she hadn't had a perm in a while! LIES! The client left unsatisfied because the stylist did not know how to cut the bangs and layer there hair. They wanted to charge her $15 for one of the other stylist to do it. Smh. So she left looking like a puppy with hair all on her face because they could not cut her full head sew in! Smh. I don't know if these young girls(Stylist) are licensed but if they are they need a refresher course on quality, experience, and how to style/braid. I won't be going here again. I'm currently looking for somewhere to go get my braids put back in and fixed!

The price was decent, but my freestyle braids are unraveling... my braids in the middle are also enormously big. I asked for my braids to be small all around and inside. Not to mention the annoying nagging that was done by both of the women who did my braids. They nagged about how short my hair was... I came the day before and the day of my appt and my hair was examined. I WILL NEVER SPEND A DOLLAR WITH THEM AGAIN. RUSHED SERVICE. NOT QUALITY. I HEAR BRAID EXPERTS IS WAY BETTER.

Great braiding salon. The service was good and super fast. I had the same day appointment and there was no wait or unnecessary breaks. I got the crochet braids weave and continue to receive compliments on my hair. I love the outcome of my hair and the overall experience.

Long drive from Beaumont TX, but worth it.

My daughter, my two sisters and I went to Anan shop to get all our hair done for our vacation trip. I read all the reviews to get a sense of what to expect before I went ahead and booked our appointments. I'm a believer in getting my money's worth and I will say that the owner and the braiders were very nice and made us feel welcome. They delivered on the styles that we wanted. I really love how neat and gorgeous our braids came out. Thanks to you ladies. I will pass out those card you gave me. Great talents, keep it up.

Horrible HORRIBLE Service. I paid 235 for Senegalese twist just for them to slip out in 5 days. So I went back & the 1st time she did one braid over & I asked was the other ones okay & she said yes it's been 10 days my hair has been done & it looks HORRIBLE & I'm not happy about it. Never again will I get there.. Very rude & unprofessional & shop looks very dirty & trashy. DO NOT GO PLEASE!

This place is great!!!. I got there at 8:50 on 6/21/13 and the place was already open. The girls that work there was on time and as costumers was walking in they was beening seated. I got senegaleses twist and I love them. It took 6 1/2 hours but was well worth the wait. They are not like any other braiding shop I have went to. They all speak english very well and they are very helpful. Its not just about money with them which I love. The want you to get what you are paying for and if you don't understand something that will make sure you understand. I love this place I will be going back. I will tell anyone to go there. I drove 45 minutes to get my hair braided and it was worth it. I could've drove 20 minutes to braid expert but after the reviews and my niece who is 13 told me she didn't like braid expert I thought I better listen to my 13 yr. old niece and go elsewhere. She is the one that told me about Braids By Anan. T.T is the one that did my hair and Norma done my sister n law hair. Thanks lady yall did a great job.

I love this place... their prices are good...I went here to get my senegelease twist and it lasted 4 months...and now i go there to get a touch up on my dreds...the braiders and beauticians are really friendly.. I would recommend anyone to go there

went there for a sew in and it looked horrible my 14 yr old daughter could have done a more professional looking job. my hair looks like a bad wig it is bulky the tracks r very noticeable and the braider had a funky attitude when i said i was unhappy with the job she had done. $200 down the drain 1 for the hair and for 1 for the bad house hair weave

So glad I found BRAIDS BY ANAN. Their Customer service was excellent and the prices are much reasonable. I 've had my micro braids for a month now and very satisfied with it. Their beauty supply section was right there for my accessoeies and supply. Their staff were friendly and helpfull. I will definitely be back.

The stylist in the shop was very friendly, too bad they lied to me. They told me that the hair I was getting was human hair and it was not. A week later my braids looked terrible and they did not want to give me my money back. When they say 160 for braids hair included, it is too good to be true.

The stylists and braiders are friendly and professional. Everyone in the shop can do excellent hair from weaves, cuts,braids, and even gluing eyelashes. You can everything you need from this shop. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I just went to the shop yesterday,refreshing to go to a professional braiding shop.the service was great and friendly. A christian atmosphere and clean. It was nice to be able to get my hair freestyled braided then have someone cut into ur desired style.Do not be discouraged by the drive.I am not from Houston and drove an hour and half to see them. Brown sugar and braid experts do NOT compare in professionalism....and they take credit cards.

Best braiding experince I ever had. My braids were beautifully done within 4 hrs. It wasn't too expensive, $140+ FREE HAIR for my freestyles. I didn't have to buy hair or anything. That's the best deal I ever got for my braids. The braiders and staff were caring and attentive. They did eveverything to make sure that I was satisfied. Their beauty supply is very convenient too. Got everything I needed all in one place.
