Smoky Mountain Diner

My wife and I ate lunch here on Presidents Day 2014. Everyone there was as friendly as could be, the employees and the customers. Clean, comfortable and the food was wonderful. It was packed but service was fast and pleasant. Try the Salisbury Steak, mashed potatoes and green bean special with cornbread and of course sweet tea. Reminds me of eating at my Aunt Ruth's house on Sundays as a little boy in Georgia.

My mother and I came in to this Diner.I asked a question about the menu. I was told YOU CAN HAVE ANYTHING YOU WANT AS LONG AS YOU HAVE MONEY, BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WASH DISHES AND IT LOOKS LIKE YOU DO PLENTY OF THOSE!!!. I'm African-American and I did not like that comment that was made.I felt it was a very rude,ignorant & racist comment to make.Maybe they don't see many of my people up there vacationing. But that was UNACCEPTABLE any way you look at it!!
