Very Bad experience at Chapman Jeep! I don’t write reviews but feel I was treated so poorly that I felt I needed to share my experience.

I emailed them about a car I saw on the internet. I received an email telling me that the car was available. I called to confirm the car was actually still available and the salesperson confirmed it was. After dinner I called back and spoke to Rick, the manager, to once again make sure the car was available before I made the 1 hour drive. Rick told me it was there and he would have it ready when I got there.

When I got there, the car I wanted was actually in a bad accident but they had another one with the same features and color for almost $500 more. When I agreed to test drive it - they couldn’t find the car. They brought over another similar car that was almost $2,000 more than the original car. I was told by Rick the manager to test drive the car and if I liked it - he would work the numbers on the original car.

After I drove the car, the salesman got the numbers from the manager - and of course they were for the car that was $2,000 more. When I said something, the salesman apologized and went back to Rick the manager. He came back with numbers for the car that was $500 more than the car I emailed about and called twice about. So after confirming the car was there 3 times and driving an hour each way, Rick refused to honor the price of the car I came in for. When I asked what the difference was in the 2 cars - he responded “I’m sure there is some small upgrade.” Rick, the manager’s response to me feeling lied to about the whole thing was “do what you have to do.” Absolutely NO customer service at all..

BEWARE OF CHAPMAN’ JEEP’s BAIT AND SWITCH! And definitely be careful when Rick is the manager. There are quite a few Jeep dealers that will be honest and treat you fairly, unfortunately, Chapman Jeep is not one of them.

You can buy a car or truck anywhere but service is what seals the deal and Chapman is the worst in that respect. I had a service issue that took 6 trips and multiple part ordering guesses before they finally fixed the problem. On top of that they damaged my interior dash lens and refused to fix it! The service manager basically told me to pound sand. Unbelievable, instead of fixing a $50 dollar part they could care less about satisfied customers. You have been warned - never buy a car or truck from this group!
