NY Beauty

This place has great service. I've been coming into NY Beauty for years now to get my hair here. And yes, every now and then when I come in, I experience some really ridiculous customers while I'm shopping. Some people just have no manners whatsoever and are really cheap. Seriously, some people are just rude and come into the store like they own the place. NY Beauty has plenty of loyal customers such as myself and really deserve more credit. I buy my remy hair and my ardell eyelashes here at least twice a month and have been coming here for past 2 years. They always give me my 10% discount because I am a LOYAL customer. I will continue to come here for all my beauty necessities.

I just moved nearby and was happy to find a beauty store so close by. I wear false lashes sometimes: the individual knot-free kind by "I envy" Kiss, because they look more natural than the strips. They come attached to a pink tray, and by attached, I mean that they have a tiny bit of adhesive that holds them in place. They are to be gently plucked off with tweezers (and that's according to the directions). Sometimes there's too much adhesive on the tray and they don't want to come off. It's normal for about 5 to 7 of them to be damaged during removal per tray. I've gotten used to it. I expect it; I live with it.



It was about the third time I purchased the lashes at Ny Beauty. I got a package that had way too much adhesive on it, and ruined almost the whole tray of lashes just trying to get enough off to wear that night. I didn't make it back to the store the next day (I work late nights), but returned the day after, with my receipt and the package that plainly says "Satisfaction guaranteed" on it. The owner's wife was working, and she argued with me about about returning them. First, she told me I didn't know how to remove them from the tray (I can read instructions; and I've been using them a long time), then she said I needed to remove them with my fingers (like I have time to do that; nor do I have teeny tiny Asian fingers). If you wear these lashes, you know that if they get pinched in the wrong place that it tweaks the lashes in a way that almost makes them look as if they've been singed by a flame. That's what results when you try to remove them when you have long fingernails. Give it a try for yourself; just don't buy them at Ny Beauty.



I finally gave up on the owner's wife. She simply would not relent, even after I pointed out the "satisfaction guaranteed" on the package. I left, leaving the package there. A few days later, I went in to see the owner. He accused me of using the whole package before I returned them (let me reiterate: I used nearly the whole package just trying to peel off enough to wear). I asked him if he would rather lose a customer than replace a $3 package of eyelashes, and he said, "yes." As I left, he "God blessed" me many times as I went out the door for the last time because I will never go back.
