When we're in Hoptown we always eat at the Woodshed. They have the best BBQ, fried catfish, chicken N dumplings and the most delicious fixins (sides) served with their dinners. Oh Yeah! Save room for a piece of one their most delicious homemade pies. Friendly atmosphere and outstanding service.

Ribs and burgers

The burgers are amazing. The ribs are perfect. They have a drive-thru, it doesn't get any better. Nice scenic drive to the location as well.

The food was very good--some of the best bbq. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is it was very cramped, you could hardly walk, and the servers weren't very helpful.

The Woodshed is a regular stop for me whenever I am passing through Hopkinsville on my way home from Kentucky Lake. Their BBQ is the best I've ever had anywhere. My favorite thing on the menu is the pulled pork plate with the standard sides, which are mustard based potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans. Substitutions can be made on the side dishes, but the standard sides are fine with me. You also get your choice of biscuits, cornbread, white bread, or whole wheat. They pile the BBQ high, and the portions served on the side dishes are very generous. Only the heartiest of eaters would have room for more than than what is served. The pulled pork plate is only $5.75! You won't get this much delicious food anywhere else for that kind of money. They have home made cream pies that will bring tears to your eyes. I always get the coconut cream, and I have them put it in the microwave for a few seconds before serving it.The service is fast and friendly.

If you want fancy, the Woodshed isn't it. If you want good home style cooked food, fast, friendly service at a very reasonable price, The Woodshed is the place. I live 200 miles away, but try to find excuses to visit The Woodshed when I can. Even President George W. Bush knew that The Woodshed was the place to eat in Hoptown.
