Michael grew up north of Chicago. He received his B.A. from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconson in 1989 and a Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1995. From 1995 through 1998 Michael practiced construction litigation law in Seattle, Washington as an associate with Barokas & Martin. In 1998 Michael moved to Hood River and joined Jaques Sharp as an associate. In 2000 he became a partner. Michael is licensed to practice law in Oregon State Court, Oregon Federal Court, Washington State Court, Western Washington Federal District Court, and the United States Court of Claims. Michael’s areas of practice include family law, domestic violence, restraining orders, criminal law, construction law, personal injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant, construction disputes, and general litigation.

Anna admittedly has a dorky love of the law and for all things related to contracts and transactions, including, but not limited to, business organization and operations, real estate and land use. Her passion lies in supporting the individuals, businesses, non-profits and other organizations that make our community so spectacular. Whether a client is pursuing a dream, starting, managing or growing a business, or launching a non-profit, Anna is dedicated to innovating and implementing creative, pragmatic solutions to the issues that pop up for entrepreneurs, business owners and individuals alike.
Landlord-Tenant Disputes
Garrett’s legal practice focuses on immigration law, family law and assisting clients with business, property and landlord-tenant issues. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and serves on the board of Radio Tierra, a nonprofit community radio station that broadcasts throughout the Columbia Gorge. He hosts a weekly Spanish language talk show focused on legal issues and immigration law.
