What started with early hair loss for me soon spiraled into a series of regretful mistakes and decisions. Hair transplants in the early 80’s truly gave the ‘Barbie doll’ effect, in addition to follicles being placed in the wrong direction and an uneven frontal hairline. As the remaining hair thinned, the plugs became more obvious and freakish looking. Each hair transplant doctor I visited offered the same advice/sales pitch… that MORE transplants would provide more coverage and camouflage the previous work. After 3 more sessions with 3 different HT doctors, I was more disappointed than ever. With very little donor area left, and very little if any improvement, I resorted to wearing a hairpiece to conceal my scalp. I was much happier wearing the hairpiece, but dreaded that I would always have to wear it to conceal my scalp. It became one more thing to be insecure about.

When I read about Scalp Micropigmentation, I was immediately intrigued. A way to camouflage the donor scarring, fill in the bald areas, and between the plugs. Sounded too good to be true, but it seemed really the only solution that could provide me with the freedom I wanted.

I consulted with Dr. Echeverry at Hair Pigment Center in Hollywood, FL. She explained everything about the procedure, and had an amazing knowledge of how to proceed with individual situations. I immediately made my mind up and began.

I can honestly say I have no regrets! Although I am just one touch-up away from completing the process, I am thrilled with the results. I can go out without a hat, or hairpiece. I appear to have a full head of hair, and other than some of the deeper pitting from the plugs. The effect of the pigmentation is undistinguishable from actual hair stubble, and I completely attribute this to the skill and judgment of Dr. Echeverry. I strongly recommend a consult with her to anyone considering this treatment/procedure before deciding on a provider. I have traveled for multiple sessions (4 hour drive) and am elated with the results.

During the whole procedure from beginning to after, their friendly and professional team was very caring and put me at ease. My hair looks so natural that when I told my girlfriend of six months (who became my wife) about my scalp pigmentation treatment, she didn’t believe it. I had to prove it with photos. Everything went great from the moment I stepped in their office, the staff was very nice and accomodating. The Doctor was very helpful in going thru all details and made me feel comfortable about the procedure. This was a big plus, seeing that procedures like this could be anxiety ridden in general. It was difficult to accept the fact that I was going bald. I checked into everything from hairpieces to hair weaves to hair flaps. Since my job required travel I researched hair solutions all around the country, unfortunately, none of them suited me. When I was close to giving up I met up with a friend who had just had the scalp pigmentation procedure done and it looked great. I called up Dr. Echeverry and started my first treatment. I heard about hair pigmentation and immediately started doing some research and loved the idea. I called Hair Pigment Center and scheduled and appointment. It was a great meeting with Dr. Andrea Echeverry. I was there for more than an hour with her explaing every little detail about the procedure. I was so convinced after seeing her that i knew i didnt need to see no one else for a consultation and i was not wrong. She is very focused on getting the best results and making them last, not just getting it done and leave. Now, I had thought I tried everything besides a hair transplant. I was unsure of scalp pigmentation and how it would turn out, but I had a co-worker that recommended me to this place. This was my first scalp pigmentation session and I am already getting compliments from my co-workers. The hair looks natural and definitely fills in what I was missing. I was in an accident a few years ago that left a scar on my scalp that has never let my hair regrow. This has always been a burden to me as everyone sees it. I came to the Hair Pigmentation Center about 4 months ago, and after just a few treatments, my scar is now fully camouflaged and no one knows its there but me. I was so distressed to be losing my hair and wasn't ready to believe there was nothing I could do about it but transplant surgery. And because of the cost involved, I was left with no choices. After meeting at their facility I was happy to learn more about the procedure and because it was affordable, I started my first session last week.
