Overall

This place was just horrible. The service was the worst I have ever had. The waitress came over a total of 4 times the whole time we were there and I had to ask just to get a refill of the watered down sweet tea. My son waited 10 minutes with an empty glass before we finally said screw it and paid our bill and left. Kids menu did not have everything as advertised. My youngest did not get the Ice cream that was supposed to be part of the meal and the kids spaghetti was supposed to have a meatball, came with one the size of a penny. The bill was overpriced also, the kids drinks cost as much as the adults. I would not go back there if they were the last place left to eat at.

Cold food and slow service

Went to the Americana for lunch. The waitress took our order in a timely fashion but after the food arrived we asked for condiments that we waited 5 minutes for before asking another waitress to get them for us. When our waitress finally returned we needed a refill on our drinks and she didn't notice the empty cups, or ask if we needed a refill. We had to ask her to refill them. We started eating our meals and the food was still cold. I spoke to the manager and she offered to microwave it for me. If I wanted something microwaved I would have stayed home. They offered to give us a small discount.. We walked out. I have been a customer there for 5 years but I will never go back again. They have gone downhill fast over the past year or so.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.......

On Feb 13th 2010 my husband, friends and myself visited the Rainbow 50s. When our food was brought to the table the corned beef hash my girlfriend and I ordered was burnt on the outside and only slightly warm on the inside. In addition the potato pancakes we ordered again were only warm and very doughy on the inside. My friend and I sent our whole lunch back without eating only but a couple of bites. When the check came the waitress said to mention to the cashier that we did not like our meals and in doing so the cashier was not very pleasant about the problem and only took off 1.50 from each couple's check when the each meal cost approximately 9.00.

We will never again eat at the diner and advise our friends not to go.

Filthy Diner with Nasty Food!!!

This was the worst diner my family and I have ever been to.

It was dirty from dishes to floor, there was food in the bench seat.

I had to clean both sides of the booth and the table top before we could even sit down.

Seeing how things started off, I cleaned the rim of my coffee cup with a baby wipe and it turned BROWN.

I ordered the chipped beef and gravy and it looked like a plate full of vomit! I am not kidding you, I had to get up and leave with out eating, I couldn't even drink my coffee because the cup was filthy!!!

Not only did they force us to pay for a meal we didn't touch but they also added a tip for the waitress to our bill! Needless to say... they won't ever get another penny from us.

Mel's Diner down the other end of Rt. 19 was wonderful, I still can't figure out why they closed but a dive like this is still around grossing people out and probably making them sick too!

The only reason they are even getting one star is because yellow pages is forcing me to choose it before I can submit my review. I wish there was a -star option because I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Actually the Americana Diner

I guess they changed the name, but the food and service are still #1. The Bay Style breakfast with crab cakes and poached eggs over english muffins is simply amazing. Great soups too. This is the #1 choice for our family when it comes to breakfasts!
