I love Jossy Farms! The orchards are clean and my kids love riding on the fruit carts/wagons. The fruit is fantastic and I love that you can get peaches, apples, pears and blueberries all at one place! yum!! The staff is always friendly and I love seeing the same faces year after tear.

Overall

I've been going to this farm for several years before. I grew up picking berries and didn't even know peaches grew in Oregon. I'm so glad I happend upon them! They have super clean fields and the fruit is great. I love bringing my girls out. They provide heavy-duty wagons to use - my little girls love riding in them. The trees are nice and low so you don't need a ladder. At ages 1 and 3, my girls can even reach the peaches to pick, too. It is such a great way to instill a love of fruit for them to have the experience!

The parking is also pentiful, clean (in a field, but not muddy or anything), and really close to the stand and fruit trees.

It is also nice that they have a variety of types of peaches. I love to pick the veterans and can dozens of pints to enjoy them year-round. I'm really glad I found this place and expanded my U-picking experiences in Oregon.

A friend of mine messaged Joss...

A friend of mine messaged Jossy Farms over facebook in June asking them if they gave a discount for picking over 250lbs of fruit. They told her they typically give a 25cent discount. She told me about this, so I called them late July/early August, don't remember exactly, I just remember it was after my baby was born and since she was born June 27th, had to be at least a few weeks after that. Well, I called them and wanted to verify the discount. Whoever I talked to, who worked there, said yes- they gave a 25cent discount for picking over 250lbs. Great! Well, I finally found time to go picking today with the plan on picking around 300lbs of fruit. I got there and asked the employees about the discount. They said no, they only give a 10cent discount for over 150lbs, that's it. I explained my friends email and my phone conversation, so they went to get the owners wife. She showed up and I explained the situation and showed her my friends email on my smartphone, which she had forwarded to me. The owners wife called her husband, the owner. She then proceeded to call me a liar repeatedly (not outright, of course) She said things like, "no one here would have said that", " no one would have emailed that.", "I DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU'RE TELLING ME", "That's not our policy this year, no one would have said that." She even insinuated that I had hacked their facebook page "because no one would have sent that email, and anyone could have gotten into the account" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! At this point I was just getting more and more frustrated. I was trying to be polite, just nodding and saying ok. She finally said that she would give me the discount anyway even though "no one else this year got this discount. Plenty of people have picked as much or more than you plan to and they didn't get that discount. It isn't fair to our other customers." I said thank you and went to walk away towards my 2 year old and husband and she yelled at me saying "next time just try to follow our actual policies!" I answered back, "I'm just following what people who work for you told me." To which she yelled, "NO! Just follow our POLICY!" This last interaction, after her calling me a liar every way she could think of, being incredibly rude and condescending, she was *yelling* at me over 25ish feet, just to be RUDE! I was nearly in tears. I talked to Tim for a few minutes and I told him I just wanted to leave. There was no way I wanted to buy anything from them. She COULD have simply said "I'm sorry for the miscommunication but we can't honor that discount." OR "I'm sorry for the miscommunication, we'll honor the discount just this once." And been done. But no, She was incredibly rude, so much so that I couldn't even stand to be on the property, I just wanted out of there... or to yell at her... or punch her in the face... both of which were not realistic options. So I left. Needless to say, it was one of the worst interactions I've had in a VERY long time. I will NEVER be going back to Jossy Farms ever again. It wasn't about the discount, I wouldn't have cared if she had politely said they couldn't give me the discount and sorry for the misunderstanding. They were incredibly rude. So sad.
