Diversity Cafe and Catering

I went into Diversity Cafe for the first time this morning. My wife and I were looking for someplace new to try. I ordered breakfast of chicken fried steak and eggs with potatoes. A few minutes later I heard some pounding coming from the back kitchen area. I said to my wife, it sounds like they are tenderizing my steak, not really believing it. Well they were. It was the best fried steak and eggs I've had since my mom used to make it. We mentioned it to one of the wait staff and she said they were a "scratch" restaurant, meaning everything was made from scratch, not a mix or frozen. We definitely will be coming back to try lunch and dinners. The place wasn't very busy so I hope they are able to attract enough business to stay open, they are special.
