A chiropractic adjustment involves high velocity thrusts applied to the vertebra, relieving sensation, discomfort, and spasms in the surrounding muscles. It also releases joint cavitation, which is caused by the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide.
Spinal Adjustments
When I went to see Dr. Merritt, I was very impressed. He explained how the digestive system is supposed to work and the reasons why so many people suffer just like me. He explained how the nervous system works in relation to my condition. I began a program of spinal adjustments and he put me on some supplements that were designed to help digest the food that I eat and restore the normal function of my digestive system. I have not had problem sine starting his program. The only supplements that I take now are a multivitamin and a B complex. I also receive periodic adjustments as part of my new wellness lifestyle. If it weren’t for Dr. Merritt and his caring for his patients, I wouldn’t be able to have this wonderful life I am leading. I just want to thank Dr. Merritt for his interest and his patience. It matters to me that I have a doctor that is willing to take his time with his patients and show them that he really cares about them not just how much money they can make. We accept auto accident, workers compensation, personal injury cases that have resulted in back pain, neck pain, headaches, or other related pain conditions. We also except most health insurance plans, including Medicare. Because there are so many insurance plans out there, and because coverage for chiropractic care varies widely, please call us to find out if your plan covers care in our office. Before you start a chiropractic care plan, our staff would be happy to verify your benefits and explain them to you at no charge.

Dr. Merritt was an instructor in anatomy and physiology. He has worked with New Albany Country Club, Sawmill Athletic Club; he has worked with professional and amateur athletes. He was a therapist with the 1992 Olympic trials and the Columbus Marathon for several years. Dr. Merritt has extensive training in advanced chiropractic techniques, advanced massage and deep tissue techniques, exercise and rehabilitation, nutrition and acupuncture. Dr. Merritt treats many acute and chronic conditions. Dr Merritt specializes in treating difficult cases, cases that have failed previous forms of treatment. Dr. Merritt is affiliated with the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. Dr. Merritt is a lecturer and presenter on various health related topics.
