        My passion for fitness started at the age of fifteen. I had no clue that one day this passion would direct me to start my own business. Through a very supportive group of family and friends, I found my purpose due to my enthusiasm and empathetic personality. After seventeen years of working behind a desk I decided that I could no longer ignore what had been in front of me for a large part of my life, my passion for fitness. In September 2008 I started attending the National Personal Training Institute. I received my personal trainer certification in April of 2009. My education consisted of 300 hours in the classroom studying topics such as: Anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, pregnancy, adolescent and elderly specialized training, arthritis and osteoporosis, diabetes, coronary artery disease and hypertension, fibromyalgia, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation and reconditioning. In addition, I completed 200 hours of hands-on training in a gym which consisted of: Proper exercise form and technique, proper spotting technique, functional training for everyday life tasks, posture imbalances, core training, resistance training (endurance, hypertrophy, strength, and power), aerobic endurance training, plyometrics, speed and agility, sports specific conditioning, and stretching techniques. I received an additional personal trainer certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in June of 2009. I received a group exercise instructor certification through the National Exercise Training Association in December of 2009. I am certified in adult and child CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
