Tracy Barrand Counseling

Saw Tracy 2 times, seeking help for postpartum depression in early 2015. One of the first things she said to me was how strange it was that I referred to needing help with "PPD" in my email. I think she called it "cute", but was very condescending in her manner. She talked mostly about herself, and how she had 5 or 6 children - implying that whatever problems I had were nothing (because i only had two).



Second session was dismal. I feel that she completely dismissed my needs because I told her I was not a Christian. She continued to downplay my problems in what I felt was a very passive-agressive way. Again she spent too much time talking about her own experience as a mother. Overall, I feel Tracy was very unprofessional, highly condescending, and she did not bother to follow up with me or send me a requested receipt. Would not recommend unless you are looking for a woman to talk to you about god and being a mother. Maybe that works for some - I was not impressed with this woman.
