I hired Lawn Managers upon buying a home to help with a lawn that had been left in bad shape by prior owners. On one of the occasions, a scheduled weed/feed treatment was to be done their employee arrived at our home walked into our front yard and then left a note on the door stating that they had performed the treatment. He was unaware that our babysitter was home and observed him. I called LM and advised them of what their employee did. They argued and said that he did the work and that they had never had any prior complaints about their employee. I advised them that not only did I have a witness, but their was no fertilizer on any part of the lawn which is normally easily visible for several days after it is put down. Their excuse was that it soaked into the ground which was laughable. I refused payment unless the work was completed. They had another employee return and do the work and to no surprise the fertilizer granules were easily seen spread throughout the lawn.

We've used Lawn Managers for years. I like the subscription service where you buy (at a discount) a year's service and they provide all treatments along the way and if the treatments are not working then they come in and supplement for free (and no questions).
