Shylo Pet Grooming

I have 3 small dogs and have used Shylo for the past 2 years for nail trimming.I have found them to be Professional ,fast and efficient. I will continue to bring my three dogs to them .

I was so excited to take my dogs back to the gentleman at Shylo today. It would be their second time to go to Shylo. The first time was a great experience BUT today was a different story. When I arrived he had a dog on the table and he said, "this is this dogs first time here and this dog is nuts!" He turned to talk to me and the dog jumped off the table. I looked up and the dog was hanging in the air by its collar with its leash attached to a high pole. I said, "Sir, look at that dog!" It's neck could have easily been broken. I am a home health nurse and I drove 25 miles to take my dogs to Shylo. My appt. was at 10:30. I saw that he was going to have a busy day so I explained my day and told him "dont hurry for me." I did a 2 hour home health visit and then I got a haircut myself. It occurred to me that the man at Shylo never asked for my phone number. Before driving 25 miles back to Lake Lure I stopped in to see if the dogs were done, started, whatever, but mostly to give my phone number. The dogs were barking and he was screaming at the dogs to "shut up." I tried to tell him that I was going back to Lake Lure but he needed my phone number. He SCREAMED at me, "how stupid do you think I am?" I said, "what?" He said, "you think I'm so stupid that I don't have your number?" It clicked in my brain that he had caller ID but I didn't know that. He continued screaming that my dogs would be ready at 5:30. I said, "I'm going to take my dogs for a quick walk to pee since they'll be here longer..." And I never got another word in. This man has a violent, explosive temper and I have never been talked to like this in my life. He said, "if you come to my shop before I've called you to come get your dogs, you take your dogs now and get out of here and find yourself another groomer!!!" I tried to calm him down and he kept screaming the same thing over and over to get out, get another groomer and never come back. I told a husband and wife outside that were coming to get their dog what just took place and I was crying. This man is in the wrong business. He even screamed, "we only have one wash basin in this place." I have no doubt but that this man is abusive to the dogs. Screaming at them to shut up. Really? I'm contacting BBB, TV stations, everyone I possibly can. He needs to be shut down. I don't care how good of a groomer you are, he's crazy. Wish I could give 0000 rating.

I went in with a friend to pick up her dog who had been there from 9 am, and it was 3:30 when we stopped in to see if the dog was done. They would not answer their phone when we called so all we could do was stop in to see if the dig was ready. The dog got excited when she saw us, but the man started screaming at us, and jerked the dog off the table and yelled that he can't finish her. I was shocked that someone would be so nasty to anyone. I would never trust someone like this with my animal. The woman working with him just sat there looking at us. My friend said she was very sorry and she would come back and he still said 45 minutes. Why would they tell her to bring the dog in at 9 if they were so busy? This was the nastiestperson doing business that I have ever seen. That screaming was uncalled for. Would not take a chance taking any animal there. They will not me rate a 0, but that is what I would do.

This is the best dog groomer I have ever used. They are very patient with my small dog and now she is no longer afraid of going to the groomers. I drive a long ways to take my pet to this groomer because I know they will do a good job and be kind to my pet.

Shylo's does beautiful work on my cats. I always make an appointment ahead of time.

first time going there just to get my dogs nails trimmed. while the man was trimming my dogs nails Tiny (dogs name) started to resist on his last paw. the guy held him and pushed him down very roughly. i was concerned he would hurt my dog for he is a small dog so i suggested that i hold him so he would settle down. the guy told me that the dog could hear my voice and that i needed to be quiet. i am very frustrated and will be reporting to the BBB.
