I want to thank Tom who made EVERY request we made possible for my mothers arrangements. The embalmer, Natalie brought my whole family comfort with the amazing work she did on my mother. She looked beautiful and at peace. I asked for not heavy makeup because she didn't wear that much during her life, this and all other request's where handled. No one is perfect and there is always room for improvement, I am a tough customer and they did everything to make me and my family comfortable with the hardest day of our lives.

I'm sorry for the person that gave a bad review on this place, but our experience was completely different. We did have to wait for Tom to come in the room that we were taken into for about 10 minutes but in my opinion it was a very nice room, and the furniture seemed to match to me and the urns were beautiful. The time I felt that we had to wait I think gives you a moment to collect yourself, take a deep breath so when the director comes in you know more what you want for your loved one. I felt Tom was sympathetic and had a sense of humor to help lift up the situation. Tom was a blessing to us, we knew my dad served in the Air force, but he never kept his records so Tom got on the phone right then and had a search done so my dad could have a VA Burial. The VA told me it could take months to get that info on my own. Tom got it in less then a week. He took a big load off my shoulder's and eliminated some tasks I had to do . Thank you Tom and Hites Funeral Home for every thing. God Bless!

I can't express how horrible our experience was at Hites. We chose this establishment off a list at the hospital when we were still in shock from my stepdad's sudden death. We made an appt. and when we showed up we were ushered into a dark room with urns and gaudy memorials and sat at a table with mismatched chairs. The person who we later found out was Tom (he NEVER introduced himself) kept us waiting for at least 10 minutes (the place was empty) before walking in. His cell phone loudly rang TWICE in the few minutes we were in there and he never asked who we were or said he was sorry for our loss. The first thing he did was push a price list across the table, then left the room AGAIN, which gave us enough time to decide to get the heck out of there. We told him we were leaving and he barely apologized, and we had my stepdad's body transferred to another home that was INCREDIBLY sensitive and did a great job. DO NOT use Hites Funeral home!!!

Hites help us during a difficult time. Thank you for taking great care of our grandmother!
