Dr. Santos H Yu, MD

Dr. Yu and his staff are very nice and the office is run very professionally. Like many doctors, he tends to run late and, unfortunately, sometimes extremely late; I've waited longer than an hour for my appointment. My only complaint about Dr. Yu is that he doesn't listen as well as I'd like and seems to want to concentrate on one problem/symptom without being willing to, I don't know, believe maybe, that it's part of a fairly complex issue. It's frustrating when you have a long history of multiple issues that have previously been treated as interconnected and Dr. Yu treats them separate and distinct from each other.

For example, I have migraines and a bad neck and back. The migraines got worse after a minor fender bender and I thought it was probably due to my neck but Dr. Yu only wanted to deal with the migraines with the usual medication I've always taken. When I returned with a complaint about pain in my arms he decided that it was an impinged nerve in my elbow and continued to dismiss my concerns that it was my neck. I'm still trying to get Dr. Yu deal with my neck after 10 months (but to be fair I haven't been as aggressive in getting him focused on my neck as I could have been).

Otherwise, I think Dr. Yu is as competent as any neurologist as I've ever had treat me.
