I worked with Mr. Filippone for the sale of my home, and for the purchase of my next home. Joe was very responsive every time I e-mailed or called him to ask him a question; and there were MANY times I had questions. He explained the process thoroughly, and he helped me extensively throughout the entire process. His fees were very reasonable and there are no "surprises" either. We hired Joe Filippone as our lawyer for buying a house. Throughout the entire process he seemed to not be putting his best foot forward when dealing with the sellers. He didn't want to "ask" for certain things on our behalf, meanwhile they were not far fetched or obscene requests by any means. At the closing, we came to an escrow agreement with the sellers, which they did not fulfill in the allotted time frame and Mr. Filippone "could not find any paperwork on it," even though it was on a couple of weeks later. He charged us a high rate and did minimal work. A family member of ours did majority of HIS legwork, because they were looking out for our best interest, unlike our high priced lawyer. It seemed to us that he had the sellers best interest instead of his own clients. We highly advise that you seek legal advice some place else.
