Dental Examination
Whether it’s your first comprehensive exam or your regular routine cleaning, you’ll always be our top priority. We understand that every patient is unique, and no treatment fits all. X-rays
Our digital and panoramic x-rays allow us to get a really close look at what is going on under the surface while exposing you to 90% less radiation than traditional films. We’re able to share the images easily, and help you identify any problems we see in the high-resolution pictures. These x-rays allow you to make informed choices about your treatment.
Oral Cancer Screening
We provide comprehensive exams to all our new patients and to our existing patients every three years. Our exams include oral cancer screenings, a full set of x-rays, a periodontal exam, and a hygiene assessment. If any significant changes occur in your oral health between exams, or if you haven’t been seen for a while, we may perform exams more frequently.

Veneers
Get the perfect smile you’ve always dreamed of with porcelain veneers. Thin tooth-colored sheets of porcelain are bonded to the prepared surface of your tooth, eliminating chips, dents, cracks, and other irregularities. Minimal-prep veneers are similar to their traditional counterpart, though as the name suggests they require less preparation of the surface of the tooth. Crowns
As part of a smile makeover, we may recommend crown lengthening to help support restorations. This treatment reshapes the gum and bone tissue, creating a stable base for a restoration, or generating a more aesthetically pleasing smile. Bridges

Root Canal Treatment
Whenever possible, we try to save your natural tooth with endodontic therapy, more commonly referred to as a root canal. After removing all the infected or diseased dental pulp, we seal your tooth. We keep you relaxed and comfortable throughout the process, and we’re right here to assess your healing and protect your natural teeth. Our office performs anterior and premolar root canal treatments and we are happy to refer you to a specialist for more advanced cases, such as molar endodontics or retreats.

Dentures
Like regular dentures, implant-retained dentures replace an entire set of teeth. The difference lies in how they are secured. These dentures do not rely on gooey adhesives or suction. Instead, they are anchored by four to six dental implants, making them more secure than the traditional version. He completed additional training at The Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies in Occlusion and also attended The Nash Institute for Dental Learning and Misch Resnik Implant Institute, as well as continued education at the Scottsdale Institute and Spear Dental Education Center. Community is an important aspect of Dr. Shook’s life. In addition to providing free dental care for the needy and providing services for local college students, he serves on the Clay County Board of Education and is active in his church. Together with his wife, Laurie and their three children, they enjoy camping, hiking, running, playing and attending sports and biking.
