I have moved many times with the help of a mover. Their procedure is to have a rep come to your home and give you a maximum estimate that they will charge. We liked the rep but had a problem with a high original estimate. I called 2 other high rated movers and one of them gave me a quote approx HALF of what the others did. I asked him to put it in writing (so there are no addl charges) and I never got it. So I went with Travel Van Lines. I have never dealt with such a well organized company. Great contacts from the co. advising me when the movers would be there and most importantly confirming their delivery the next day.
AND... the movers were incredible. They packed and moved things without conversation. Nothing broke and they placed all our big furniture where we wanted it... after experimenting a little. Great company... I never paid such a big tip in my life with no regrets!

We had to arrange a last minute move after our first movers couldn't get our sofa through the door. Thank God we called Travel Van Lines! Maria organized our move and she sent Fabian and his partner, Peter, moved our sofa, several heavy boxes, and a bunch of unwieldy items from our apartment . Not only was Fabian fast-He has a great attitude: he's friendly and warm, but doesn't let that slow him down when he's on the job.

We'd had other movers break an antique table in two, so we were concerned about several fragile items that we needed White Glove to move...but Fabian and Peter treated them as carefully as if they were their own.

All these five-star reviews may seem too good to be true; they're not. We cannot recommend Maria & Travel Van Lines highly enough (and we wish we'd called him to begin with!). At least there is no question who we will call when it is time to move all of our crap OUT of storage.

Travel Van Lines offered us a stress free move ! A distant relative of ours had recommended this company , I called them up and finally decided to book them. On the day of the move the movers showed up on time, the paperwork was quick, the move was really quick. It took about three and a half hours to move from our two-bedroom in a suburban area of NY to a 1-bedroom apartment in a skyscraper within the same area, both locations total cost at the end came to approx of 450 usd (three movers, I paid in cash) before tip. Got a follow-up call the very next day. And they were very much impressed, I would definitely use them again.

I was hesitant to go to in for any professional moving service for our local move as I had encountered a lot of hidden charges at the end of the billing until On a recommendation of a friend gave a thought and called up Travel Van Lines and was amazed by the way the sales made his best attempt to provide the finer details of the entire moving process which made me go for an instant booking. On the day of the move I couldn't have been more happier with the entire process of our move. From the estimate which was fair and accurate to the pre-move paperwork and communication which was easy and smooth to the move itself which was quick and professional we came up 100% satisfied. After a bad experience with a moving company I was in dilemma of whom to hire on for service, but I could not have experienced a better move. I decided to get the research done and managed to obtain some info which was approved by my friends who had good views on Travel Van Lines.I called them up and booked them. On the moving day the team of 3 gave their best shot to get the huge sofa moved and other heavy antiques to our new location. Not only were they on time, but they were jovial, hard working, and most importantly on budget. They were careful of all of my belongings, and I was pleased to find that everything arrived safely and in perfect condition. Call them for moves large and small.

I set up a move with Travel Van Lines on a recommendation of a friend and gave them a call , the sales rep made her best rffort to explain me the different options that were available set me free of all concerns and queries that I had in mind they definitely came down to do an estimate and I readily booked them. I am as picky as with any company I choose. I have hired professional movers before, and I have very high standards in terms of quality moving I look forward to . On the day of the move 2 well built sturdy movers arrived on time and the movers and the foreman were all very consummate professional, accommodating, resourceful and extremely pleasant to work with. I ended up taking services to the best of their ability and they were as gracious as can be. I would definitely use them for a future move.

Good overall experience using Travel Van Lines . The guys were efficient, polite, fast. Like most of the reviews said: they are professional, friendly and on time I would like to mention one extra quality of they being fast . I really loved their teamwork between the movers. They communicated very well and seemed supportive of each other. The cost of the move was under the estimate which was great, the hourly rate was reasonable and they were less expensive than other movers found on the net . After the job was done the amount due was less than the initial quote and since they completed it before time the amount reduced a little lower than the initial estimate for which I had to face a little inconvenience of going to my bank and ordering a separate cheque for them otherwise their service was not bad at all.

I used Travel Van Lines and these guys made my move and were good with it , no problems or hassles and I had grossly underestimated the amount of stuff . I had to put on these guys on the phone. The movers from Travel Van Lines helped us in finishing our move. They left our new house clean, with boxes organized in order . We were stressed and had a lot of boxes. I'm certain I have owned the same crappy sofa, loads of books, and knickknacks approaching 15 years- and in my moves. I will point out that I almost missed out on this opportunity to do business with this moving company and they lured us in a deal which had a expensive agenda" . After using Travel Van Lines for our recent move, we are mostly happy with their service, with just a couple gripes :)



They were scheduled to arrive between 8am and 10am, and arrived right before 8am. What we thought would be a 4-hour move turned into a nearly 9-hour trek, due mostly to my huge amount of furniture :) The 3 guys were hard working and professional.



My only gripe is the amount broken items we found when we started unpacking. I happened to look out the window while the guys were unloading the truck and did see some boxes fall onto the street, which of course were the boxes marked 'fragile'. We lost quite a few sentimental items, but I guess it is to be expected in a large move like ours.



Overall we were very happy with the service and would use them again.

Best and easiest move I have ever done with a moving company!



I just got done with my move, and it went so smoothly that I felt the need to immediately write about it. Darrel and his team showed up about 30 minutes after my scheduled time slot (great because I avoided traffic!). Since I only had a little bit of stuff to move I got a team of 2 guys and 1 truck. They immediately got to work upon arriving, which I loved because I am paying them by the hour. They were extremely courteous, friendly, outgoing, efficient, and most importantly adept at moving my furniture without destroying it or the apartment! They were in and out in 3 hours all said and done.



One note I will say... be sure you understand all your costs. There were several I was not aware of, that could have easily added up to a significant amount of money. These include double drive time, tape (per roll charge), shrink wrap (per item charge), and other non-reusable packing material charges. While I was only made aware of the tape and double drive time charges, the rest didn't add up to much on my move so I didn't knock a star off for that.



In addition the staff I worked with to schedule my move showed the same amazing customer service orientation.



All in all, if I ever need to do a move again, I WILL be calling TVL again, thanks to Darrel and his crew, they were awesome.

Well this is where I found Travel Van Lines when I was first looking for movers. Once I got on the phone with Kaylin it was just easy as pie form then on. He helped me figure everything out and gave me time to think about everything. The workers packed all my stuff so neat and tight that everything got to Kaylin the same way they left New York. I will tell everyone about them! They were just wonderful!!!

One thing I learned is to b clear with my needs, and very detailed with what types of things I'm moving. Also first moving time of the day, which is between 8:30-9:00 is recommended for an effective job. On the day of the move, 3 large well built man arrived on my premises and did the chores. I had many large pieces and many antiques that required to be handled with care . They received detailed list from me and went through it and accomplished the task in the designated time . Just a little note of thanks to Travel Van Lines two men with their truck last week. They were very friendly, professional, efficient, careful and fast. We were very impressed and would like to compliment them on the great job they did, and how quickly they got it done.

I moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago, and I've been so busy that I didn't write a review. Travel Van Lines had been mediocre in their service. I called, and they gave me a reasonable price quote. They emailed me a confirmation, and I filled out an inventory list and emailed it back to them. The movers who showed up were totally professional and prompt. The move went smoothly. I had a studio apartment and I was only moving a short distance, so the whole move was completed in 1.5 hours and at a reasonable price. My only concern was that due to some reason they did not accept payment thru card on that day and I had to arrange for a cashier’s cheque from my bank which caused some inconvenience otherwise their service was not bad. Thankyou guys!

Also, if you want to ensure the start time of your move, insist on the first moving time of the day, which is generally between 8:30-9:00.



Make no assumptions with movers. They move hundreds of folks and may not know your particular situation unless you tell them. I have many large pieces and many antiques. They received a VERY detailed list from me and went through with it (with each move). This ensured that they could make recommendations to me about how to prep things for the move. This also led me to get more things and more trucks in my last move, which really saved the whole deal. I needed to get it all done in one day. Apart from this Travel Van Lines offered us a decent service.

Very pleased with the professionalism of this group. Felt the charges were appropriate and the movers were well trained and experienced. I'd go back to them if I was required to move again.

Of course these guys are a 5 star act.



This past May, I used them for the second time in 3 years. Excellent service, very careful, not a scratch, always accommodating, polite and good humored guys.



The fact the company is Irish is the icing on the cake. Cheers guys.

I hated the idea of changing my present house and moving to a new place as I have done it so many times. I just gave a ring to Travel Van Lines and…

* They gave me a reasonable estimate of the entire process

* Gave me follow up calls and sent emails.

* Was on time for the packing and pick-up.

* Delivered all my stuff unharmed.
