Give respect, get respect. Jay is an extremely knowledgeable and well intentioned mechanic.

It's as simple as this, Jay is unstable, dishonest, and occassionaly dangerous. If you want trouble, pay him a visit.

This guy is extremely hot-headed and appears to be unstable. He might be able to fix a boat if he'd quit griping, giving attitude, and throwing tantrums.

I went in for boat throttle and gear cable change and... That is when it all started. Hesitant to go here in the first place due to be rude when a prior purchase of spark plugs while owner was drinking beer (close to closing) don't know another story... So when I made the verbal deal to have jays marine repalce the cables asked a few questions how long would it take, a price etc... I got a atitude. Then I stop by the shop 2-3 days later caught hell. Boat was repaired received the phone call, went to pick it up and the throttle button was stuck he said it was like that before it came in bs. Because I was driving it the day I brought it in. It worked then owner smelled like beer as we walked thru the shop the back area had to step over crushed beer cans and jay started to argue with me about what was said and me wasting his time Keep in mind I still don't know he cost of the cables being replacement. I do not highly do not recommend this marine repair shop for anyone not even for parts. Former Marine and all. You might leave the corps. But it will never leave you.

i went with a simple problem and a simple solution, just did not have the necessary tools, and i was told that it was not possible and that i was completely wrong with no tact or costumer service, i left purchased the corrrect tool, and made the repair in less than 5 minutes, thanks Jay's for your service.

I have been going here for all my Boat and marine needs for the past few years. Jay a former Marine is extremley knowledgeable, friendly and professional.

Bought a new boat trailer here in 2008. Very pleased! good quality and a fair price. I dropped my boat and old trailer off and Jay fit the new trailer to my boat that day.
