Dr. Heckman is a Hastings native. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and focuses on preventive and restorative dentistry. She is married to Neil, from Wisner, NE., who is a faculty member in Chemistry at Hastings College. They have three sons, Andrew, Luke and Jacob and one daughter Kate.

They have a daughter Lauren, and three sons Evan, Ryan, and Nolan. Boating and water skiing at Lake McConaughy are activities that Dr. Thompson and his family enjoy.
