Breast Reduction
If you feel your breasts are too large and have become uncomfortable, painful or cause backache problems, breast reduction can bring about dramatic, life-altering changes for you. Sometimes breast reduction is considered a reconstructive procedure, since greatly oversized breasts may interfere with normal function and physical activity. It is also a cosmetic procedure, since the surgery vastly improves the shape of the breasts and nipple areas. Many times, it is covered by your insurance.
Breast Lift
The procedure is performed by moving the nipple and areola (the pink skin surrounding the nipple) to a higher position, moving the breast tissue to a higher level, removing excess skin from the lower portion of the breast, and reshaping the remaining breast skin. A variety of incision patterns are possible, depending on the correction needed. In most cases, breast and nipple sensation can be preserved with any breast lift techniques.
Rhinoplasty
This procedure is generally done through surgical incisions inside the nose. A modified technique called “open” rhinoplasty can sometimes benefit patients who need more complex correction or who are undergoing a secondary procedure. In these cases, a small incision is made outside the nose across the columella (the tissue that divides the two nostrils). This enables Dr. Beran to turn the outer tissue of the nose back, allowing him to see the structures inside. Additional incisions, similar to those used in the traditional “closed” approach, are then made inside the nose. The small scar resulting from the incision on the outside of the nose eventually becomes almost invisible.
Breast Reconstruction
When a woman undergoes a mastectomy (removal of a breast), she must make many important decisions during a physically and emotionally challenging time. Many patients choose to have breast reconstruction to try to restore the look and feel of their breasts as well as their self-image.

Thigh Lift

For the lower eyelids, some patients may be good candidates for an advanced technique called transconjunctival blepharoplasty, which is performed by making an incision from inside the lower eyelid. This technique avoids any scar on the lower lid and can often be combined with laser resurfacing to smooth and tighten the lower eyelid skin.

Bariatric Surgery
Another technique that adds more roundness, shape and curve to the buttocks is the performing of liposuction to the area just above and below the buttocks. In addition, patients who have lost 100-150 pounds or more, usually through bariatric surgery, often undergo body shaping, along with a buttocks lift and augmentation. This procedure removes excess, hanging skin from the gluteal (buttocks) area, resulting in a more round and uplifted rear end.
