Tall Pines Cafe

The previous reviews are no longer accurate. Everything has improved. Is it the same as the old cafe? Thankfully, No, much better. Friendlier and cleaner. Give them another visit, it will be better each time. As to going to the Lodge instead, I do not recommend it. Same slow service in a much larger place.

Went in a few weeks ago to check out the place after the ownership change. Not good. The place was basically empty during lunch hour (maybe 1-2 other tables had people at them). Service was super slow (I would understand if they were busy).

Food was not good, biscuits for biscuits and gravy were clearly the ones that come out of a can. They were out of fresh fruit (which came with our food), and they were out (heard the cook tell the waitress this in the back room), but when we asked she kept saying "oh yeah", like we were going to forget.

Oh well, at least we can still go to the old place because they are just down the street at the Happy Jack Lodge. Maybe they will improve, but we will not be going back, we will stick to the Restaurant at the lodge from here on out.

If your used to eating here with old owners go to Happy Jack Lodge. They reopened at new location. !
Big mistake eating here. Dinner was downright disgusting! So bad you needed mouthwash to get over horrible taste. Need more of anything? They’re not to generous with anything you might need from napkins to extra gravy. Very stingy and prices went up
Slooowww service, bad atmosphere( very negative) tables not bussed and either cold undercooked food to overdone, dry nasty chicken fried steak.
Will never go back here again. Extremely disappointed from now on we go to Happy Jack Lodge and eat.
Sickening especially since we met our kids from Cali while camping!
Be warned: STAY AWAY
