Overall
Place is only "fancy "restaura...

Place is only "fancy "restaurant in Hancock . My girl friend and i went for a romantic dinner .Upon entering we were met with a fishy odor not experienced in most restaurants where we eat . We were met by the hostess /waitress who was wearing blue jeans ,. She directed us to a small table right near the doorway to a very small dining room . We expressed dissatisfaction with the seat and were told we can have a table for 4 but would have to move if the place got busy .The dining room was 12X12 with 2 tables for 2 and 3 tables for four . . We were given 3 minutes to peruse the menu and asked by the waitress if we were ready to order . We requested some time to look at the very pricey menu but did not feel comfortable with the waitresses demeanor . In planning our escape we elected to have a drink at the bar and went onto our wireless to find another restaurant . Upon sitting at the bar the bartender who was also wearing jeans and reading a book said " I guess i will have to finish my book later ". She asked if we were eating and we said just drinks . The waitress came in and said to her "are they eating ?" She said no which illicited a sour face from the waitress. Aside from the rude behavior of the staff , high prices and cramped noisy room we noted the wine list and beer menu was very basic and over priced . . The restaurants idea of top shelf is Gabbiano white wine which sells for about $7.99 in a local liquor store Hardly top shelf in a restaurant where the average entree was $25.00 .

Dont take my word for any of this but if you want to spend a lot of money and feel like you are walking on egg shells its the place to go .

We wound up going down the street to the Maple Room had 2 very delicious meals that cost $44.00 with two glasses of Ruffino and a Yuengling beer which is an excelent beer from PA .The staff at the Maple room welcomed us wit open arms . I ordered Pot Roast which was so tender you could cut it with the fork . My girlfriend ordered Herb Roasted Chicken which also was very tender and delicious . The added bonus was the staff who really went all out to serve you .
