No one ever really knows how much there is to deal with until someone you love passes away. This funeral home was a HUGE disappointment. When we went to make the arrangements, the guy there was very pleasant. But when the funeral home made several major mistakes, they were not pleasant at ALL. Mistakes made were: Obituary was typed up wrong by the funeral home (not the newspaper); privacy matters were not respected; breach of contract; no apologies made for any of the wrong doings.



First and foremost my major concern was the lack of regret or care that was shown in this situation. The person who is paying for the funeral, next of kin (the one who signs the funeral contract) is the one in charge of the plans. Well, this funeral home showed no respect in that. They listened to anyone who would tell them anything, even though we were paying for everything. There were things done that were not supposed to be done. We made our wishes clear and they didn't even care to listen.



They made a HUGE mistake in the obituary. Donations were to be made instead of flowers, and they got the charity WRONG. That is a huge mistake. Donations were made to the wrong charity...and I will say A LOT of money was sent out and it was to the wrong place. We called them once we saw it in the paper and they corrected it, only to make another mistake. The obituary was NEVER correct. Even when they put a sign up at the funeral that donations could be made....they had the address WRONG.
