Terrific Service, Excellent Food, This is the place to go if you are looking for friendly service with a smile, great hometown cooking, full choice menu, and, saving the best for last..... personal Hammond home town history including fisherman "lies" at your table, from the owner and his son.

Overall

Despite it being a local favorite for beer and pool, the sanitation was sub par. Last time I found gnats in the oil and vinegar containers. My advice: go for beer and pool, eat before you go. :/

Mariner's Inn Pretty Good Bar & Grill

General Info
Begun in 1979, Mariners Inn was purchased by Bruce Labrecque on Friday the 13th of October 1982, and we've been lucky ever since! We have been especially fortunate for our great customers and continuously excellent staff, both of whom have collaborated over the years to help make Mariners a "Hammond way of life." Great food has certainly been a large part of Mariners success. Tender steaks and juicy burgers, fluffy stuffed potatoes, super thick pork chops, delicious grilled tuna, as well as signature dressings, appetizers, and soups are our useful tools in our daily battle to cure hunger in Hammond! We also feature a well stocked bar with fine beers, liquors, mixed drinks, and patrons. Whether they are the famous and powerful of the world (you'd be amazed, but they are incognito, of course), or the every day citizens of Hammond, you will always find participants for an engaging conversation. While you are here be sure to view our ever changing collection of nautical memorabilia, period firearms (including a 17th century Spanish cannon), interesting, often local, artwork and old maps.
