First let me say that I was thrilled to join Crunch Gym, something close, local and affordable. My first encounter with having a problem with them was when I had to stop attending the gym because my daughter was unexpectedly deployed and now I was the primary care giver for my 3 year old grandson. I could not attend the gym due to my commute to work in New Brunswick every day and now the added responsibility of providing care to my grandson by taking him to and from daycare. I called several times and explained this to Crunch and their main concern was just getting money and not the concern that I had to raise a 3 year old until my daughter returns from duty in November. Then I could not due anything over the phone I had to physically come into the gym, which I had no time to do, or send a certified letter. While I was deciding to do this I was being charged from January up until June. I finally was able to take a day off from work with no pay and go into the gym and cancel my membership. Before I went to the gym to cancel I paid close to 160.00 (for a membership I didn't get to use), to make good on my contract with the gym. When the manager was about to process my termination papers, she had the audacity to ask my why I was canceling... I explained to her my situation, then she had the nerve to say that I had to pay an additional $25.00 for the month of July because in another 10 days I would be billed again! I will never and I mean never obtain another Crunch membership again under any circumstances! The manager was very rude, lacked compassion and basically made it seem like somehow had the problem. I am very disappointed with this money hungry gym and their lack of compassion that they distribute to people and their family members that are affected by individuals who are serving our country. My daughter's deployment was planned, me being an alternative full time parent until my daughter returns, was not planned.Crunch Fitness needs to be ashamed of themselves.

I signed up for the personal training for 6 months. I was told if I want to cancel I had to at month 5. Well on month 5 I told the manager Evan that I wanted to cancel, he told me to cancel on month 6. I wrote a letter and mailed it to them, in September and told him 9/27/2016 should be my last payment, I no longer wish to extend my member. I spoke with him on the phone back in September and he told me he got my letter and my membership was canceled. Well here it is 10/27/2016 and my account was charged.

Wont stop billing me. Harassing Phone calls 3 times a day. I'm going to start making complaints to federal trade commission and local places like BBB and attorney general.

Wait until you try and cancel. they won't let you cancel and they keep billing you. I had to cancel my credit card and they still keep billing me. every time I talk to them it's a different reason why I cant cancel this membership. they told me last time my account needs to be in good standing to cancel. no contract is what they said. Beware of Crunch Fitness.. DO NOT JOIN OR YOU WILL BE SORRY! I will never join another gym.
