North Oaks Middle School is an educational institution that provides a range of academic and extracurricular programs for more than 445 students in grades six though eight. Established in 1965, it offers classes in mathematics, science, social studies, art, music and physical education. The school also imparts instruction in language arts, Spanish, history and industrial technology. It maintains a parent-teacher association, as well as a library that provides age-appropriate resources for students and works to improve students interest in literature and reading. North Oaks Middle School has band, art, choir and drama clubs, as well as organizes baseball, basketball, tennis, cross-country, gymnastics, and track and field tournaments and matches. The school is a part of the Birdville Independent School District, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
