Ear Infections
Absolutely. Dr. Mendez has specialized training with newborns, toddlers and children of all ages. For example, think about what happens during the birthing process whether natural or cesarean, a tremendous load is applied to the newborn’s neck resulting in a compromised upper cervical scenario. Again, think of how many times you and every other child in the world fell on their butts as they are learning how to walk. Not every fall is perfect or graceful. This is a very common injury that children sustain which can lead to pelvic dysfunction. This very misalignment oftentimes leads to digestive (colic), respiratory (asthma), and excretory (bed wetting) issues. Keep in mind this is only taking one area of the spine into consideration. The neck region is another area which can lead to ear infections etc.
Family Practice
One of the tools available at our office is radiography, particularly for the Gonstead technique. Precision Family Health offers a specialized x-ray known as full spine radiography, which allows Dr. Mendez to see and compare the relationship of the head/neck down to the pelvis all in one shot. There are only a handful of offices that have this availability.
